Viewing discrepancy information
This page enables you to view discrepancy information. Tell me more.
Select the hyperlinked discrepancy number in the multiline of the “Select Discrepancy” page.
The “View Discrepancy Information” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Discrepancy Details” group box:
Discrepancy # |
The number assigned to the discrepancy selected in the previous page. |
Log Item # |
The code identifying the log Item which contains the discrepancy details. |
Discrepancy Type |
The type of discrepancy, which can be “PIREP” or “MIREP”. PIREP indicates that the discrepancy has been reported by the pilot while recording the journey log. MIREP indicates that the discrepancy has been reported by the mechanic while raising a work order. |
Discrepancy Category |
The user-defined category that has been defined for the discrepancy. |
Discrepancy Description |
The textual description of the discrepancy. |
Record Status |
The status of the discrepancy, which can be “Fresh”, “Pending” or “Pending deferral”. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter on which discrepancy has been reported. |
Tracking Status |
The user-defined tracking status defined for the discrepancy. |
Radio Communication |
The details of the discrepancy communicated by the mechanic through radio communication. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Maint. Object Details” group box:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft against which discrepancies have been reported. |
Aircraft Model # |
The model number of the aircraft against which discrepancies have been reported. |
Component # |
The component for which discrepancies have been reported. |
Serial # |
The part serial number for which discrepancies have been reported. |
Part # |
The part number for which discrepancies have been reported. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
To proceed carry out the following:
Select the “Deferral Details” tab to view the deferral details.
Select the “Resolution History Details” tab to view the resolution history details.
Select the “Other Details” tab to view the other details.
The system displays the following field in the “Document Attachment Details” group box:
File Name |
The name of the reference document corresponding to the discrepancy. Select the “View File” link provided alongside, to view the contents of the file. |
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Resolution History” link at the bottom of the page to view the resolution history for the discrepancy.
Select the “View New Discrepancy Resolution History” link at the bottom of the page to view the resolution history for the new discrepancies.
Select the “View Source Discrepancy Resolution History” link at the bottom of the page to view the resolution history for the source discrepancy.
Select the “View Discrepancy Deferral History” link at the bottom of the page to view the deferral history for the discrepancy.
Select the “View Associate Doc. Attachments” link at the bottom of the page to access any documents/files previously uploaded for the discrepancy.
Select the “View Part Requirements” link at the bottom of the page to find out the part requirements for the discrepancy.
The system displays the following field in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The name of the user who recorded the discrepancy. |
Created Date |
The date on which the discrepancy was recorded. |
Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the discrepancy. |
Modified Date |
The date on which the user last modified the discrepancy. |

This page allows you to view information about the discrepancy selected in the previous page. You can view the following details:
resolution procedure identified for the discrepancy
discrepancy that has been transferred to the component
fault codes and cause codes identified for the discrepancy
