Managing the discrepancy resolution history
This page displays details of the resolution procedure that were previously identified for the discrepancy. You can also modify the corrective action against a discrepancy record and update the remarks.
Select the “View Resolution History”, “View New Discrepancy Resolution History” or “View Source Discrepancy Resolution History” link in the “View Discrepancy Information” page.
The “Manage Discrepancy Resolution History” page appears.
The system displays the following fields:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Discrepancy Details” group box:
Discrepancy # |
The number assigned to the discrepancy selected in the previous page. |
Applicability |
Indicates whether the discrepancy is applicable for “Aircraft”, “Engine” or “Component”. |
Discrepancy Type |
The type of discrepancy, which can be “PIREP” or “MIREP”. |
Discrepancy Category |
The user-defined category that has been defined for the discrepancy. |
Discrepancy |
The textual description of the discrepancy. |
Record Status |
The status of the discrepancy or maintenance report, which can be “Fresh”, “Pending” or “Pending deferral”. |
Processing Status |
The processing status of the discrepancy, which can be “None”, “Under Analysis” or “Analyzed”. |
Tracking Status |
The user-defined tracking status defined for the discrepancy. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter on which discrepancy has been reported. |
Fault # |
The fault code defined in the “Fault Isolation Manual” business component that is applicable to the discrepancy being reported. |
Source Document Type |
The type of source document in which the discrepancy was reported. The source document can be “Visit package”, “Hangar Work Order”, “Journey Log”, “Technical Log” or “Component Work Order”. |
Source Document # |
The number identifying the source document in which the discrepancy was reported. |
Created Station |
The station where the maintenance report was created. |
Created at Org. Unit |
The organization unit where the maintenance report was created. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Maint. Object Details” group box:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft against which discrepancies have been reported. |
Aircraft Model # |
The model number of the aircraft against which discrepancies have been reported. |
Component # |
The component number for which discrepancies have been reported. |
Part Serial # |
The serial number for which discrepancies have been reported. |
Part # |
The part number for which discrepancies have been reported. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
The system displays the following fields in the "Resolution History” multiline:
Line # |
The unique number depicting the record in the multiline. |
Action |
The action taken to rectify the discrepancy. |
Performed Date |
The date on which the action was performed. |
Performed At: Station |
The station where the action was performed. |
Enter the following:
Corrective Action |
The corrective action taken against the discrepancy. |
Remarks |
Any additional remarks regarding the action. |
The system displays the following:
Ref. Document Type |
The type of reference document relating to the action taken. |
Ref. Document # |
The document number of the reference document relating to the action taken. |
Created at Org. Unit |
The organization unit where the reference document was created. |
Work Unit Count |
The count of work units taken to rectify the discrepancy. |
Rectified by |
The user code of the employee who has rectified the discrepancy. |
Inspected by |
The user code of the employee who has inspected the rectification. |
Rectifier Name |
The name of the employee who has rectified the discrepancy. |
Inspector Name |
The name of the employee who has inspected the rectification. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to update the corrective action against the discrepancy record.
Note: The “Save” pushbutton is visible only if the user has access rights to the “Maintain Discrepancy Information” page of the “Compliance Tracking & Control” business component.
