Using Online Help

This page allows you to modify the details of the labor hours recorded against component work orders and hangar work orders. Tell me more.

The “Edit \ Authorize Labor Hours” page appears.

The system displays the following fields:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system retrieves the employee time sheet records against component work orders and/or hangar work orders that are in “In Progress” and “Completed” status.

Note: The system retrieves the labor record details clocked against the component work order, only if the login user has access rights for the “Edit Labor Hours for Comp. Work Orders” activity in the “Component Work Reporting” business component.

Similarly, the system retrieves the labor record details clocked against the hangar work order, only if the login user has access rights for the “Edit Labor Hours for Hangar Work Order” activity in the “Hangar Work Reporting” business component.

The system does not retrieve the CWOs/Tasks if the transient status of the CWO/Task is “Hold” and if the option to allow reporting of CWOs that are in “Hold” status is set as “No” in the “Component Work Order” business component. Similarly, the system does not retrieve the HWO/Tasks with transient status as “Hold”.

The system displays the following details in the “Timesheet Summary” group box:

Total Hours

The total hours reported by the employee for the task or component work order for the date specified in the “Date” field. If the employee has already reported any actuals for the current date, the system displays the reported number of hours in this field. This is inclusive of lunch, break and indirect work reported hours, if any of these overlaps with the CWO/task reported hours.

The system calculates the total hours as the sum of total worked hours and total indirect working hours.

Total Worked Hours

The sum of all the worked hours booked by the login employee for any CWO or task, as on the date entered in the “Worked Date” field.

The system calculates the total worked hours as follows:

Tot. Worked hours = Total Hours – Total In-direct Hours – Break Hours – Lunch Hours.

Total In-direct Hours

The total indirect working hours reported for an employee. The system calculates the total in-direct hours as the difference between the end time and the start time.

Employee Count

The count of the employees for which the records are modified.

Total Normal Hours

The total normal hours booked by the employee. The system displays the sum of all the timesheet records in “Fresh”, “Confirmed” or “Authorized” status, whose start date is same as the worked date and recorded with attendance type as “Normal”.

Total Extra Hours

The total extra hours reported by the employee. The system displays the sum of all the timesheet records in “Fresh”, “Confirmed” or “Authorized” status, whose start date is same as the worked date and recorded with attendance type other than “Normal”.

Billable?

Use the drop-down list box and select the option “Yes” if the timesheet record is billable.

Else, select the option “No’.The system displays the value “Yes” by default.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Employee #

The number identifying the employee for whom you need to report the actuals (Alphanumeric, 20). The employee code should be a valid employee number defined in the "Employee Information” business component, and should be in “Active” status for the range of dates for which updation of actuals has to be done.

Data entry in this field is mandatory, if any time sheet records are entered in the multiline.

Ensure that the employee number entered here is reporting to the login user.

Help facility available.

Note: You cannot modify the employee code that is retrieved in the multiline.

The system displays the following field:

Employee Name

The name of the employee.

Exec. Order #

The number identifying the execution order (Alphanumeric, 40). The execution order must be defined in the “Component Work Order” or “Hangar Work Order” business component.

Help facility available for component work order.

Data entry in this field is mandatory if any time sheet records are entered in the multiline.

Note: Select the “Help on Hangar Work Order #” link provided below the multiline, to retrieve hangar work orders.

Select the “Help on Hangar Work Order – Task #” link below the multiline, to retrieve the hangar work order/task.

Seq #

The sequence number of the task within the component work order or hangar work order (Integer). The sequence number should be a valid sequence number for the given work order in the “Component Work Order” or “Hangar Work Order” business component.

Task #

The task number for which the employee reports the actual hours (Alphanumeric, 30). The task number should be a valid task number for the given work order in the “Component Work Order” or “Hangar Work Order” business component.

Note: Ensure that the status of the task of the given execution order is

  1. “Scheduled”, “In Progress” or “Completed”, in the “Component Work Order” or “Hangar Work Order” business component.

  2. “Planned” or “In-Progress”, if the execution order is “A/C Maintenance Execution Ref. #” in the Flight Log business component.

If the task seq # is not entered, the system retrieves the task Seq # for the Exec. Order # of CWO/HWO/AME and Task # combination from the respective Component Work Reporting/Hangar Work Reporting/Flight Log business components.

Worked Hours

The time spent on the task or the work order for the dates specified (Time Format). Ensure that the value entered here is positive.

Note: If you have specified the “Worked Hours”, ensure that either “Start Date” and “Start Time”, or “End Date” and “End Time”, are entered.

If you have not specified the “Worked Hours”, ensure that both “Start Date/Start Time” and “End Date/End Time” are entered.

Billable?

Use the drop-down list box and select the option “Yes”, if the timesheet record is billable. Else, select the option “No”.

The system leaves the field blank by default.

Start Date

The date starting from which the employee actuals have to be reported against a CWO/Task or HWO/Task (Date Format).

Start Time

The time starting from which the employee actuals have to be reported against a CWO/Task or HWO/Task (Time Format).

Note: If the execution order type is Component Work Order or Hanger Work Order, ensure that the start date and time entered for the task is not later than the current system date and time or earlier than the backdated reporting time limit specified in the “Set Options” activity of the “Component Work Reporting” or “Hangar Work Reporting” business component.

If the execution order type is A/C Maintenance Execution Ref. #, ensure that the start date and time entered for the task is not later than the current system date and time or earlier than the backdated reporting time limit specified for the package type of A/C Maintenance Execution Ref. #.

End Date

The date until which the employee actuals have to be reported against a CWO/Task or HWO/Task (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered here is not later than the current system date for the corresponding task.

End Time

The time until which the employee actuals have to be reported against a CWO/Task or HWO/Task (Time Format).

Note: If both “Start Date” and “End Date” are the same, ensure that the value entered in the “End Time” field is later than the time entered in the “Start Time” field.

If you have not entered any value in the “End Date” and “End Time” fields, the system automatically computes the end date and time based on the “Worked Hours”, “Start Date” and “Start Time” values.

The end date and time are calculated as follows:

End Date  = Start Date + (Duration/Per day man hours)

End Time = Start Time + (Duration/Per day man hours)

The system retrieves the per day man hours from the “Time Unit Conversions” as identified in the “Common Masters” business component, or from the rotaschedule mapped to the work center where the employee is mapped.

If any of the values “Start Date”, “Start Time”, “End Date” and “End Time” are modified, the system recalculates the worked hours and changes the updation mode to “Manual”. The system also stops the direct and indirect clock.

Attendance Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the attendance type of the employee. The system lists the option “Normal” and all the quick codes identified for “Attendance Type” in the “Work Center” business component.

The system ensures that there is no leave approved for the employee for any time duration or date falling between the From Date - Time and To Date - Time required for performing the task.

Note: Once the details are retrieved in this page, the system ensures that another user does not update the employee actuals reported for the "CWO/Task", “HWO/Task” and “A/C Maintenance Execution Ref. #/Task” combination. The system also ensures that the indirect clock is not running for the given employee while recording the labor hours for the employee time clock entry in the Component Work Reporting, Hangar Work Reporting and Flight log business components.

Note: The system does not allow deletion of records that are retrieved in the multiline.

Note: The system updates the status of the newly added timesheet record as “Confirmed”. Also, the system retains the previous status of the timesheet record even on modification of the existing timesheet details.

If the status of the component work order is updated as “Completed” and if serial number change is effected through engineering order, the system performs the following:

For the CWO/Task, the system updates the following information for each employee in the “Component Work Reporting” business component:

For the HWO/Task, the system updates the following information for each employee in the “Hangar Work Reporting” business component:

Note: Once the details are retrieved in this page, the system ensures that another user does not update the employee actuals reported for the “HWO/Task” and “A/C Maintenance Execution Ref. #/Task” combination. The system also ensures that the indirect clock is not running for the given employee while recording the labor hours for the employee time clock entry in the Component Work Reporting, Hangar Work Reporting and Flight log business components.
