Create Unplanned Receipts – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to record unplanned receipts into a warehouse. Unplanned receipts refer to the receipt of parts in a warehouse without reference documents such as the purchase order or release slip. These receipts could be made against cash purchases for items like stationery, or purchases for which there was no procurement planning.
An unplanned receipt receives the material into a warehouse and also updates the inventory accordingly. You can also enter the lot number and serial number details of the received part, in case the part is lot number-controlled or serial number-controlled. The Part Cost entered during the receipt will be stored and the valuation will be done according the valuation method specified for the Part in the Part Administration component.
You are provided with Help facility for retrieving the part details, warehouse information and the UOM.
