Payroll Arrears - Overview
Arrears is the differential amount of salary that must be paid to an employee for a specific period because of retrospective changes in the pay. The examples of arrears are revision of pay with effect from a back date, etc.
The “Payroll Arrears” component is used to define, edit, approve and view arrears attributes. Arrears are processed and the values arrived at are used by the “Payroll” component.
Defining an arrears set
This activity is used to define arrears set for a payset. You can also view, modify and delete arrears sets.
Setting Arrears Process Status
This activity is used to either abort or reset a salary arrears process. You can abort an arrear process midway, and reset it.
Computing arrears
This activity is used to compute arrears for an arrears set. Computing arrears indicates processing of arrears to arrive at the arrears value due to the employees pertaining to an arrear set.
Editing Employee Arrear Values
Through this activity you can edit the arrear values attributes of an employee for an arrear set. Editing arrear values indicates modifying the arrears amount computed for an employee for a pay element in an arrear set. Remarks describing the reasons for change are also captured in this activity.
Authorizing Arrears
This activity is used to authorize arrears set. After arrears are processed, the details must be checked before they are released for payments. Authorizing indicates that the arrears have been verified and ready to be picked up by payroll processing.
Unauthorizing Arrears
This activity is used to unauthorize an earlier authorized arrears set. Unauthorizing is carried out when the authorized arrears need modifications to generate the required results.
