Internal Selection and Referral - An Overview

Selecting internal applicants: Internal applicants are employees who apply against vacancies available in the organization. If the organization plans to recruit internal employees for vacancies, then the employees are notified of these vacancies. Employees who are interested can then submit their resumes against these vacancies.  This component simplifies the process of the employees applying against these vacancies, by automatically generating the employee’s resume. Resume of an employee is created based on the personal and employment information records available in the Employee Induction component.

Updating the resume before applying against a vacancy: When employee wants to update any information in the resume, he can modify his personal information in the Employee Induction component and later visit the “Apply against a Vacancy” page and select “Update” in “Action” drop down box to achieve the personal information getting updated in the resume.  For example, if an employee gets a new qualification, then, he/she can update that information in personal record and later visit the page to bring that qualification in his/her resume.

Referring applicants: External applicants can apply for an existing vacancy, if the employees of the organization refer them.  When Employee Referral is set as a source for a hire request, the employees are notified.  Employees can then refer any suitable person, known to him/her, for the existing vacancy.

Viewing the referred applicant’s evaluation status:  The applicant referred by an employee will undergo the different stages of evaluation in recruitment, if shortlisted. The employees have the option to view the status of the evaluation process of the applicant whom he/she has referred.
