Company, Business units, Departments, Organizational units etc. are the entities used in the organizations to define legal, physical/geographical, operational and administrative boundaries. The Company is a legally recognized entity representing the business operation of an organization. In the Aviation scenario, it forms the primary interface for the business operation with all external agencies including regulatory authorities.
This activity allows you to define a Company. You can define the general information, registered office and organizational unit details, permitted currency details and exchange rate information for the company. You can also view the exchange rate details between two currencies for a specific time range.

A company is a legal entity of an organization that represents the business operation. In this activity you can define a company by entering the details such as the company code, company name, parent company, base currency and address details.

Maintain registered office details
The registered office details for the company can be entered.

Associate organizational units to the company
Organizational unit is a distinct organizational entity where a function or a set of related business functions are executed. You can enter the organizational unit details and associate the organization unit to the company.

Enter permitted currencies details
This activity also allows you to define the various currencies in which the company can transact. The currencies that are already defined in the “Maintain Currency Information” activity are available for selection. You can associate the currencies relevant to the company.

Maintain exchange rate details
The conversion factor between two currencies is established through the exchange rate. The exchange rate can be defined for any two currencies, associated to the company.

You can view the details of the exchange rates defined between two currencies during the given time period.
Go to “View Exchange Rate History” page to view the exchange rate details between two currencies for during a specific time period.
You can update the finance books of the company.
