Create Aircraft Forecast – A summary of the activity

This activity helps you forecast the maintenance activities for an aircraft in order to ensure continued serviceability. Based on the forecast of the workload you can plan the material and resources needed for the maintenance activity, that is the Skills, Facilities and Equipment requirements, well in advance. This will eventually help you forecast the maintenance costs. Maintenance costs will involve manpower requirements, budgetary estimates, material, labor costs etc. The forecast will also help you make decisions on outsourcing and developing in-house facilities.

The forecast is usually generated for a user-defined period of time, and the expected date of maintenance arising is calculated from the following:

4 Utilization figures of the sub fleet.

4 Current parameter values of the aircraft from the "Aircraft" business component for usage- based schedule and current server date for date- based schedule.

This activity enables you to create a forecast for a sub fleet and also release the aircraft forecast for maintenance activities.
