Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This section enables you to save details of all the estimated tasks. You have the provision to recalculate the quotation price.

The “Ref. Info.” tab page appears:

Search By

Use the drop-down list box to specify the attribute based on which you wish to proceed with the search. Data selection in this field is mandatory if values are specified in any of the editable boxed alongside. The system lists the following options:

  • Task #

  •  Billable?

  •  COA?

  •  Part #

  •  Mfr. Part #

  •  Part # / Serial #

 

In the editable boxes alongside, select a value corresponding to the search criteria selected based which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. You can enter the value in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the numbers belonging to the “Search Based” specified here. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the numbers irrespective of the value entered in this field.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

Quote Level

The system retrieves all the pricing tasks with status “Estimates Released” which includes pricing tasks that are not associated to a quote level also.

Show Q. Approved Tasks

Select this check box to retrieve only those tasks for which quotation has been approved by the customer.

Note that you are required to check this box if you wish to view tasks including those that are already in “Approved” status.

By default this checkbox remains unchecked.

Quote Level

Select this radio button if you wish to retrieve quotation details of a task at a primary level.

By default this radio button remains unchecked.

Detail Level

Select this ratio button if you wish to retrieve quotation details of tasks at an operation / execution level ie., child level tasks will also be included.

The system displays the following fields in the “Quote Ref. Details” multiline:

Q. Ind.

Quotation Indicator. This could any of the following:

  •  New - Indicates quote for new tasks.

  • Existing - Indicates that the quote has not been modified for the task.  

  •  Est. Rev - Indicates that the estimation is revised for the task.

  • Cancelled - Indicates that the quotation is cancelled at work order level.

Note that while creating a quotation this field will be blank.

Await Est.?

Indicates whether the quote is pending for estimation.

Note that the system performs the following based on price changes:

  • Leaves this field blank if price change is from

  • Updates “Yes” in this field, if pricing basis for the task is changed from FP to T& M

  • Updates this field with “Yes” if “Re-Estimates” is selected as the “Action?”

  • Does not update this field is pricing is not changed.

Price Disp

Indicates the pricing of the task, which could be any of the following:

  • Priced – Indicates that for fixed priced tasks, the system has retrieved the price from the contract.

  • Price Not Found – Indicates for fixed priced tasks, the system is unable to retrieve the price.

Note that the system displays “Priced” and “Price Not Found” values in this field even for tasks which are priced partially T&M.

Rev. Ref.

Indicates the reference to the revision made to the price. More..

The system leaves this field blank.

Quote For

The type of document that is being quoted.

Qt. Doc #

The number identifying the quote for the document type.

Doc Type

The type of the document to which the task is allocated for completion..

Exec. Doc #

The execution document to which the task/ document is associated.

Task Status

Indicates whether the task is invoiced.

 Release #

The number identifying the release.

Task #

The code identifying the task.

Task Seq. #

The order of execution of the task in the aircraft maintenance execution document/work order.

Task Desc.

A textual description of the task

EO Task

Indicates whether the task added in the SWO is EO task which could be ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.

EO Attributes

Indicates the engineering attributes of the task by concatenating using '|'  separator.

EO Doc #

Indicates the Engineering Order Document # based on which the EO task is inherited into the Work Order.

Sys. Billable?

Indicates whether the task is billable as per the system.

Billable?

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the tasks are billable in the customer order. The system lists the options “Yes” and “No”.

Ensure the following:

  • For all the root and the child tasks of the root task same value are selected.

  • “Yes” is specified in this field if “Yes” is selected as the “Warranty Reco.?” for the given task.

  • That “No” is selected in this field if the “Warranty Resolution Status” field in the “Quote Info.” tab is selected as “Fully Rejected.

  • That “Yes” is selected in this field if the “Warranty Resolution Status” field in the “Quote Info.” tab is selected as “Fully Accepted”.

 

The system displays the following fields in the “Quote Ref. Details” multiline:

Parent WO #

The parent work order of the execution document to which the task/ document is associated.

Exchange Order #

The exchange order generated for the customer order.

Initiated As

The mode of exchange, such as Regular or Advance Exchange.

Exch. Type

The type of exchange, such as Exchange with Repair or Flat Exchange.

Reasons For Exch.

Details of reasons for exchange of the maintenance part and the exchange initiator (whether Customer or Internal).

Doc. Type

The type of the document generated by the shop work order/ Aircraft Maintenance Execution document for external repairs/ services, such as Repair Order or Purchase Order.

Doc #

The repair order or service purchase order generated for the shop work order/ Aircraft Maintenance Execution document.

Exch. Ind.

Indicates whether the exchange is a top assembly or a sub assembly exchange for an Exchange Order and indicates whether the work order is directly involved in the exchange or only the parent work order of this work order is involved.

WBS Code

The work breakdown structure code indicating the attributes that identify whether the task is executed for planning or execution.

Pricing Basis

The pricing basis for the customer order.

COA Exists?

Indicates whether any out of scope item exists against the given task.

Note that the system displays “Yes” in this field if the pricing tasks, child tasks or any of its pricing elements are “Out of Scope”, else the system leaves this field blank.

Qty.

The main core quantity covered in customer order/work order.

Note that this quantity cannot be modified.

Modified Qty.

The main core quantity covered in customer order/work order.

Note that this quantity can be modified.

The system displays the following fields in the “Quote Ref. Details” multiline:

Qty. Ref.

   Indicates whether the main core quantity is applicable for the unit price  which could be "Applicable" or "Not Applicable".

Scrap Qty.

The number of main core quantity that has been scrapped during execution of the task.

FP – Mat. Per Unit

Price of material as defined in the contract.

FP – Lab. Per Unit

Price of labour as defined in the contract.

FP – Oth. Res. Per Unit

Price of other resources as defined in the contract.

The system displays the following fields in the “Quote Ref. Details” multiline:

Extd. FP – Mat.

Qty. * FP – Mat. Per Unit.

Extd. FP – Lab.

Qty. * FP – Mat. Per Unit.

Extd. FP – Oth. Res.

Qty. * FP – Mat. Per Unit.

Extd. FP - Total

The total price of the task to be executed.

 

FP – Mat. Per Unit

Price of material as defined in the contract

 

Covered Cap Per Unit

Indicates the covered cap value per unit for the task from the contract definitions, if the task runs under fixed price,  else the system leaves this column ‘Blank’.

  The system displays the following fields in the “Quote Ref. Details” multiline:

Adj. FP per unit

The adjusted value per unit after the cap value is applied, if the task runs under fixed price the system leaves this column Blank.

FP per unit less Covered Cap Per Unit.

 

Extd. FP - Total

 

Total price of the task to be executed.

Note: Ensure that for tasks with T&M pricing, price is not entered for Fixed Price columns like FP – Mat., FP – Lab. FP – Oth. Res., FP – Total fields in the “Quote Ref. Details” multiline.

The system displays the following fields in the “Quote Ref. Details” multiline:

T&M Price-Mat.

The price of materials used for the task as per the part pricelist associated with the customer order.

T&M Price-Lab.

The price of labour used for the task as per the service pricelist associated with the customer order.

T&M Price-Oth. Res.

The price of other resources used for the task as per the service pricelist associated with the customer order.

T & M Charges

Additional charges incurred for the task as per the service pricelist associated with the customer order.

T&M Price / Unit

The T&M price for the task per unit which is obtained from the  ‘Material’ and ‘Resources’ tab for that particular task for single Qty. The system leaves this column blank if the task runs under ‘Fixed price’.

Covered Price per unit

 

The covered price per unit for the task

Note that value is displayed in this field if the ‘Computatin Basis’ in the ‘Manage Sale Contract’ under the ‘Sale Contract’ business component is set as a ‘Flat Value’.

Adj.T&M Price per unit

 

The adjusted value per unit after the cap value is applied, if the task runs under T&M. Or else the system leaves this column Blank.

T&M Charges / Quantity

Adj. T&M Price per unit = T&M Price per unit - Covered Price per unit

T&M  Extd. Price

 

The total T&M price for the task after cap, for all the parts in the Work order. The system leaves this column blank for tasks that runs under ‘Fixed Price’

FP per unit * Quantity

Adj. T&M Price per unit * Qty

T & M – Ext. Repairs

The price of external repairs undertaken for the task as per the service pricelist associated with the customer order.

T & M Price – Total

The total price for the completion of the task as per the part and service pricelists associated with the customer order. This will be equal to

T & M Price – Mat. + T & M Price – Lab. + T & M Price – Oth. Res. + T & M Price – Charges + T & M Price – Ext. Repairs

Final Price

The sum of all the prices

Work Center #

The work center in which the task is executed.

Est. Remarks

Any comments regarding the estimation made by the mechanic.

Quote Remarks

Any comment or remark regarding the time and material details for the estimated tasks as given by the CSM.

   COA?

Use the drop-down list box to specify the state of COA for a task to be performed on a part. COA refers to the performance of a task which required deviation from the contract over and above without requiring approval. The system lists the following options:

  • In Scope  - Indicates all the tasks for T & M jobs that are specified as In-scope in the sale contract as well as all tasks for which COA is not specified in the contract.

  • Out of Scope - Indicates all tasks that are specified as out of scope in the sale contract.

The system displays “No” by default.

Ensure that if “Out of Scope” is for the root task, all the related child tasks are also selected as “Out of Scope”.

Billable?

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the tasks are billable in the customer order. The system lists the options “Yes” and “No”.

Ensure the following:

  • Out of Scope - Indicates all tasks that are specified as out of scope in the sale contract.

  • For all the root and the child tasks of the root task same value are selected.

  • "Yes” is specified in this field if “Yes” is selected as the “Warranty Reco.?” for the given task.

  • That “No” is selected in this field if the “Warranty Resolution Status” field in the “Quote Info.” tab is selected as “Fully Rejected.

  • That “Yes” is selected in this field if the “Warranty Resolution Status” field in the “Quote Info.” tab is selected as “Fully Accepted”.

The system leaves this field blank.

The system displays the following fields:

EO Task?

Indicates whether the task is associated to an engineering document, which could be “Yes” or “No”.

Attributes of all the engineering documents

Note that the system leaves this field blank if the task is not an EO associated task.

EO Attributes

The number identifying the engineering document of the associated task.

EO Doc #

Note that the system leaves this field blank if the task is not an EO associated task.

Covered Cap per unit - FP task

Note that value is displayed in this field if the ‘Computatin Basis’ in the ‘Manage Sale Contract’ under the ‘Sale Contract’ business component is set as a ‘Percentage Value’.

Adj. FP per unit

FP Total per unit - Covered Cap per unit

 in the “Quoted Part Details” multiline:

Warranty Reco.

Indicates whether warranty for the object to be serviced is recommended, which could be  “Yes” and “No”.

Warranty Res?.

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether warranty is necessary for the task. Warranty Res. (resolution) overrides the Warranty Reco. as recommended by the execution.

Note: 1) The warranty resolution that you select for a task must not be “No”, if the Warranty Resolution for the customer order /execution order is "Fully Accepted". 2) On contrary, you cannot set the warranty resolution for the task to “Yes”, if the same for the customer order is “Fully Rejected”. 3) Billability should be set to “No” if the Warranty Res. is set to “Yes”.

Warranty Provider

The provider of warranty against the respective task as per the warranty agreement.

Warranty Status

The status of the warranty against the task which could be ‘Approved’, ‘Rejected’, ‘Pending Approval’, and  “Pending Release”

Price Narration

A brief message on the pricing.

Internal Notes

Details regarding any changes in pricing.

The system displays the following fields in the “Work Pending Quote” multiline:

Pricing Notes

The pricing notes for the task as available in the sale contract for a fixed price definition of the customer order.

Task Type

The type of the task executed on the maintenance object with reference to an engineering document.

Repair Classification

The repair classification in order to differentiate the tasks which are over and above the contract (COA - Contract Over and Above) between the operator and the MRO.

Repair Process Code

The repair process associated with the task as defined in the execution document.

Prev. App. Status

The approval status regarding the previous revision of  the quotation which could be “Approve”, Reject” or “Re-quote”

Action?

Indicates the action to be performed on the quotation. The system lists the following options:

  • Re-estimate - Indicates that the quotation is to be re-evaluated.

The system leaves this field blank.

Action Remarks

Any additional details regarding the action to be performed on the quotation.

Data entry in this field is mandatory if a value is selected in the “Action” field.

The system displays the following fields in the “Work Pending Quote” multiline:

Pricing Task #

Indicates the pricing task # for a task.

Pricing Task Desc.

The description/short name of the pricing task.

Parent Task #

The parent task # of the task.

Parent Task Desc.

The short name / description of the parent task.

Ind. / Exd. Ref. Code

The inclusion/exclusion reference code for the task as defined in the sales contract. This indicates whether the task is stipulated in the customer order.

Part #

The number identifying the part for which you wish to record T & M reference details.

Mfr. Part #

The number assigned to the part, by the manufacturer of the part for which you wish to record T & M reference details

Mfr. #

The number identifying the manufacturer for whom you wish to record T & M reference details.

Part  Serial # / Lot #

The number identifying the part for which you wish to record T & M reference details / The number identifying the serial of the part for which you wish to record T & M reference details

Part Desc.

A textual description of the part for which you wish to record T & M reference details

ATA #

The ATA # relevant to the part.

ATA Desc.

The description of the ATA # relevant to the part.

Aircraft Reg. #

The registration of the aircraft for which you wish to record T & M reference details.

Last Updated Log

The name of the columns which were last updated in sequence.

Q. Count

The number of times the task has been quoted.

The system leaves this field blank.

FP Ref.

Indicates the contract revision number from which the price is retrieved.

F. Pricing Source

Indicates from where the fixed price is retrieved.

Modification Notes

The reasons for change in fixed prices of the task. This field is mandatory, if the user has modified any of the fixed prices.

The system displays the following fields in the “Quoted Part Details” multiline:

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the service sale quote.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the service sale quote was last modified..

Note: Ensure that at least one row in the multiline is selected.

Note: To re-compute price of a task you must record “T & M” details and the estimated tasks must be saved.

The system performs the following:

On creation of a contract

On modifying contract details

On revising contract details

On creation a quote.

On modyfying / revising a quote
