What you can do in this activity

Through this activity, you can map a pay element to a reimbursement item. You can also modify the same.

Reimbursement Item: Reimbursement items are basic elements of reimbursement, under which employees make claims for expenses they incurred on the item. Common examples of reimbursement items are Hospitalization, Travel and Periodicals.

Pay elements are the various atomic components of a pay structure, combinations of which form the pay structures for different employees. Examples of pay elements are Base Salary, Traveling and House Rent Allowance.

Mapping of a reimbursement Item to a pay element: Through this activity, you can map a reimbursement item to a pay element. As you map an item to a pay element, you indicate that the value of the item will be included under the specified the pay element.  For example, if you map “Travel” item to a Traveling allowance, you indicate the value of the “Travel” item will be paid under “Traveling” pay element.
