Edit Processed Attendance - A summary of the activity
Through this activity, you can modify the processed employee attendance details of an employee for a selected process period.
Attendance of an employee is one of the determining factors in the computation of his salary as many of the pay element values are based on it.
Attendance can be defined as the frequency with which a person is present at the workplace. It is measured by a period unit, which refers to a fixed period of time. This can be hour, day, etc. Hence, attendance is measured by the number of period units attended by an employee for a specified process period.
There are three different modes through which the attendance can be recorded viz. direct entry, formula or ARS (attendance recording system). These record the attendance of all the employees in the organization.
There are three different modes through which the attendance can be recorded viz. direct entry, formula or ARS (attendance recording system). These record the attendance of all the employees in the organization.
In Direct Entry, the user enters the number of total attendance units for an employee.
In Formula type, the number of attendance units attended by the employee for a particular process period is calculated on the basis of the formula or rule specified at the time of defining an attendance type. Based on the formula or the rule you can obtain the attendance units of an employee in two ways:
Total number of attendance units for a selected process period.
Or
Date wise attendance units attended for the specified process period.
Attendance recording system (ARS): In ARS system, the ARS data should be mapped with the HRMS 4.0 database. As you map, you indicate that the ARS data will be available in HRMS. 4.0 database. Based on the time-data transferred from ARS to HRMS 4.0 database, and the rule specified at the time of defining an attendance type in “Add Attendance Type” page the system will compute the number of attendance units attended by an employee. The system will generate
Attendance units for a process period
Date wise employee attendance units for a process period.
Employee-booth wise attendance units of the specified process period.
Through “Attendance Data Entry” activity, you can modify the attendance details of a specified employee if the mode of entry is
Formula based (incase day-wise attendance details are maintained)
ARS
You must select an employee whose processed attendance details are to be modified. Selecting an employee involves specifying a Payroll attendance unit, Employment unit, a payroll, and a payset to which the employee is mapped. You must also specify the process period and the attendance type for which attendance details are to be modified. All these details and the employee code must be specified in “Select Employee for Modifying Processed Attendance” page. You can modify the details in the “Modify Processed Attendance” page only. For example you can modify the number of attendance units, the ‘From Date’, ‘To Date’, Cost Center Code and booth number. As you modify, the attendance should be processed again.
