Appraisal Template Mapping - A summary of the activity
Through this activity, you can map an appraisal template to different groups of employees within a company or across different companies. Scope.
Different groups of employees refer to employees belonging to a specific department, position, grade set, grade, job, etc, or to different combinations of these. When you map a specific template to a group of employees, this template is made available to the
4 Appraiser of each of these employees, during performance appraisal
4 Employee himself or herself, during self-appraisal
Auto-objective mapping: You can choose the auto-objective facility, which means that all the objectives defined for the template will be made automatically available to the appraiser and the appraise during appraisal/self-appraisal. Even if these objectives will not be specifically defined for the employee through the “Set Appraisal Objectives” activity under Appraisal Administration, they will still become applicable for the employee.
Apart from which, the objectives in the template will not require any approval from appraisers for evaluation. See Impact on the “Set Appraisal Objectives” activity.

Impact on the “Set Appraisal Objectives” activity
The “Set Appraisal Objectives’ activity is to allow you to set objectives for an individual employee. To allow you easy access to existing objectives, it shows you templates, from which you can select the objectives to be mapped to a specific employee.
However, a template for which the auto-objective mapping facility has been marked, will not be displayed in the “Set Appraisal Objectives’ activity. This is because the system automatically maps the objectives in this template to the employee. These objectives will be made available to
