Set Performance Bonus/Increment Rates - A summary of the activity
Through this activity you can define the performance bonus rate and/or the salary increment, for specific groups of employees. Scope. You can group employees based on factors such as
4 The length of service, for example, all employees who have been in the company’s service from 10 months to 20 months.
4 The appraisal grade, for example, all employees who have been given the grade “Very Good”
The range of appraisal rates, for example, all employees whose appraisal ratings range from 80.1 to 85. Note that this range of rates must conform to the rates applicable for the appraisal grade you had selected. Tell me more.
Additionally, you can group employees belonging to a specific department, position, grade set, grade, job, etc, or to different combinations of these.
For each such group, you can define the performance bonus rate or the salary increment as one of the following
Percentage of base salary
A flat amount
In Payroll, you can build business rules for the calculation and payment of performance bonus and increments
You can edit or delete the bonus/increments rates for these groups of employees, provided that no employee has been given his bonus or salary increment yet.

This activity will be applicable for all employees
Whose period of appraisal occurs within the start date and end date of the calendar you selected in the “Appraisal Calendar Code” field. For example, you selected HDBCAL as the calendar, and the start and end dates are January 1 2003 to December 31 2003. The system will allow you to enter or edit information for only those employees whose period of appraisal occurs within January 1 2003 to December 31 2003.
