Setting/Editing appraiser objectives
Select the employee through the “Record Appraiser Mapping” activity, and click the “Set/Edit Objectives” link from the “Record Appraiser Mapping” page.
The “Set Appraisal Objectives” page appears.
The system displays the following details from the previous page.
Date Format |
The date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Employment Unit |
The employment unit of the selected employee. This employment unit refers to the organization unit that holds the Employment Information component. |
Employee Code
|
The employee code of the employee who logged into the “Record Appraiser Mapping” page. |
Assignment No. |
The number of the employee’s assignment, for which he is reporting to the appraiser. |
Appraisal Type
|
The type of appraisal for which you require to map objectives to the appraiser. It could be one of the following:

Appraisal Calendar Code
|
The code of the appraisal calendar in which the mapping of objectives to appraisers will be applicable. |
Calendar Short Description
|
The short description of the calendar. |
Parameter Category |
The parameter category defined for the appraisal calendar. |
Weightage Computation Level |
The weightage computation level defined for the appraisal calendar and parameter category. |
Period From |
The date from which the appraiser is mapped to the employee. |
Period To |
The date until which the appraiser is mapped to the employee. |
Appraiser |
The appraiser for whom you require to record objectives. |
Appraiser’s Employment Unit
|
The employment unit to which the appraiser belongs.
|
Objective Mapping Status
|
The status of approval of the objective mapping, for the employee’s appraiser. It could be one of the following: “Approved”, “Pending”, “Not defined” or “All”. When the status of all the objectives in the multiline are approved, it will display the status “Approved”. |
To import objectives specific to another appraiser
Enter some or all of the following under the “Default With Objectives Of” group box.
Appraisal Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the type of appraisal from which you require import objectives from a template. It could be one of the following:

The calendar in which the template occurs. Help available |
Select the "Get Details" push button.
The system displays the following. Tell Me More.

Enter the following
Appraiser |
From the drop-down list box, select the appraiser to whom objectives were mapped. The objectives are mapped to the appraiser in the “Record Employee Appraisal Mapping” activity |
Select the “Default” pushbutton.
The “Objectives” multiline will retrieve and display all the objectives that were mapped to this appraiser until date. You can edit the details of these objectives. Refer to the section below “To record objective details”
To import objectives specific to another evaluation template
Enter some or all of the following under the “Default With Objectives Of” group box

Enter the following
Template Short Description |
From the drop-down list box, select the evaluation template from which you require to import objectives. These refer to the objectives that are defined already in the template, through the “Record Appraisal Templates” activity. Refer to the rules for choosing an evaluation template. |
Select the “Default” pushbutton.
The “Objectives” multiline will retrieve and display all the objectives that are defined in this evaluation template. You can edit the details of the objectives. Refer to the section below “To record objective details”
To import objectives specific to an appraiser- template combination
Enter the “Appraisal Type” and “Appraisal Calendar” fields in the “Default With Objectives Of” group box.
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton. Tell me more
From the “Appraiser” drop-down list box, select the required appraiser.
From the “Template Short Description” drop-down list box, select the required template.
Select the “Default” pushbutton.
The “Objectives” multiline will retrieve and display the sum of (i) the objectives assigned to the appraiser, and (ii) the objectives defined in the evaluation template.

Objective Group |
From the drop-down list box, select the objective group from which you require to set the objectives. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in "Record Appraisal Objective Parameter" activity for the selected appraisal calendar in the multiline. The system displays "Blank" by default on launch of the page. The system displays "Select Value" if the combo is loaded with more than one group else displays saved value. |
Objective Type |
From the drop-down list box, select the type of an objective from which you require to set the objectives. The combo is loaded with the values as defined in "Record Appraisal Objective Parameter" activity for the selected appraisal calendar in the multiline. The system displays "Blank" by default on launch of the page. The system displays "Select Value" if the combo is loaded with more than one group else displays saved value. |

After the appraiser reviews the objectives and their weightages in the “Review Appraisal Objectives” page, you can revisit this page. The multiline will display the following.
Weightage(in %)

The weightage assigned to the objective group, objective type, objective group-type and objective, in percentage. To assign “approved” for all objectives
Select the “Default Status as Approved” pushbutton, to set the “Objective Mapping Status“ field to “Approved” for all the objectives.
The system assigns the “Approved” status for all the objectives in the multiline.
Select the “Submit” pushbutton.
The system saves the mapping of appraisal objectives to the employee’s appraiser.
