Through this activity, you can set an employee’s current supervisor as his appraiser. The employee’s current supervisor is defined in the Primary Assignment activity of the Employment Information component. Additionally, you can set the current supervisor’s supervisor as the countersigning officer. This is carried out in the “Select Employee to Record Appraiser Mapping” page.
Bulk mapping: You can carry out this operation in bulk, for multiple employees, in the “Select Employee to Record Appraiser Mapping” page. This means that you can retrieve a group of employees, based on a search. For example, you can retrieve all employees belonging to the same department, and holding the same job title and position title. For all these employees, you can set

Mapping multiple appraisers: You can map multiple appraisers to each employee. You are to select the employee and enter the “Record Appraiser Mapping” page, where you can add more appraisers in addition to the current supervisor whom you had already defined as appraiser. For each appraiser, you can specify
The period for which the appraiser will be mapped to the employee.
The weightage assigned to the appraiser
If the employee is eligible for self-appraisal, his or her name will be automatically displayed as one of the appraisers. You are to specify the same information for the employee as for other appraisers.
Changing the appraiser: You can change any appraiser, by specifying the employee code and other details of the changed appraiser. Changing an appraiser is allowed, if
The original appraiser has not completed the evaluation
The appraisal calendar is not closed.
After saving this information, you select an individual appraiser and enter the “Set Appraisal Objectives” page. Through this page, you can define the objectives for the appraiser, and the weightage for each objective. Refer to Set Appraisal Objectives – A summary of the activity.
