Through this activity, you can create a qualification. Qualifications refer to the eligibilities by virtue of which an  employee can acquire a job or position in an organization. This activity aims at creating qualifications by capturing each qualification with unique details. The qualifications so defined can be used at any later point of time.

To create a qualification, you are to specify the following details:

• A unique code to identify the qualification.

• A description for the qualification. For example, if the qualification is MBA, you can specify the description as MBA or Master of Business Administration.

• The academic level of the qualification, to indicate whether the qualification pertains to a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate degree, doctorate, diploma etc. This is a quick coded value which means the user has the option to create and define the necessary qualification levels as quick codes during deployment.

• The specialization of the qualification to indicate the academic subject in which the qualification was achieved, for example, Science, Engineering or Business etc. The system lists the qualification specialization values from quick codes from which you can select the required one.

• The qualification type, which indicates if the qualification pertains to a certification or a professional or vocational qualification etc. The system lists the predefined qualification types from quick codes from which you can select the required one.

• The Qualification particulars defined here can be used while,

• Entering the qualification details for an employee in the organization,

• Processing of recruitment, where qualification becomes one of the parameters against which the details of an applicant's resume are matched.

• The system also facilitates maintaining the qualification details in active or inactive status. If you choose to inactivate the details. it means that other activities will not be able to use the qualification details.

 Additionally, you can enter comments pertaining to the qualifications details specified.
