What you can do in this activity

Disciplinary action refers to the action taken by the supervisor, in response to the errors committed by the employees in the organization.

Through this activity, you can initiate Disciplinary Action against an erring employee. The errors committed by the employee may be frequent absenteeism, misbehaviour with peers etc. In the “Record Disciplinary Action” page supervisor can nominate one or more employees who would provide their activity details in the “Record Disciplinary Action Activity Details” page. For example, if an employee has misbehaved with peers, the disciplinary action taken could be that he is suspended for a month.

Selecting the employee to record disciplinary action: You can select the employee against whom the disciplinary action must be taken, based on search criteria. The list of employees working under the supervisor is listed. Alternatively, you can directly enter the employee code and the assignment number of the employee against whom disciplinary action must be taken.

Recording disciplinary action: You can record the disciplinary action as follows:

4      Selecting the type of disciplinary action. The type of disciplinary action can be “Behavioral“, “Criminal,” or “Other”, as defined quick codes. The categorization of a disciplinary action to one of these types will help the user to identify the disciplinary action under the disciplinary action type

Nominating persons responsible: You can nominate a list of responsible persons who will take the necessary disciplinary action:

You can now submit this information.  The disciplinary action number is generated by the system.   You can use this number to track the details of the disciplinary action.

Automatic E-mail Notification:  After you submit all the information above, the system will send an e-mail to each of the responsible employees.

The status of disciplinary action: The status of the disciplinary action can be “Open”, “Closed” or any other status defined by the user. These disciplinary action statuses are defined in the quick codes.

A disciplinary action, whose status is other than “Closed”, is used for recording disciplinary action activity and cost details. A disciplinary action, whose status is “Closed”, is used only for viewing disciplinary action details.
