Select the “Kit Details” tab in the "Build Kit" page.
Note: If the kit operation is “Rebuild”, the Kit Details” tab page is displayed in a disabled state. (This indicates you cannot input any values in the tab page.)
Enter the following in the “Default Details” group box to default values for all the kit parts.
Zone # |
The zone in the warehouse that is used to store the kit. If the warehouse for the kit is of type “Normal”, it is mandatory to specify zone # here or n the “Kit Details” multiline. You can specify the zone # here, if the zone is the same for all the kit serial #s. On the contrary, you must not specify any zone #, if the warehouse is of type “Free”. Note: The zone # must be valid for the warehouse as defined in the Storage Administration component. Help facility available |
Bin # |
The bin of the zone in the warehouse that is used to store the kit. You can specify the bin # here or in the "Kit Details“ multiline. You can specify the bin # here, if the bin is the same for all the kit serial #s. Note: The bin # must be valid for the zone # of the warehouse as defined in the Storage Administration component. Enter the following in the “Kit Details” multiline.
Mfr. Serial # |
The serial # of the kit as allotted by the manufacturer. |
Mfr. Lot # |
The lot # of the kit as allotted by the manufacturer. |
Zone # |
The zone in the warehouse that stores the kit. If the warehouse for the kit is of type “Normal”, it is mandatory to specify zone # here or in the “Default Details” multiline. On the contrary, you must not specify any zone #, if the warehouse is of type “Free”. Note: The zone # must be valid for the warehouse as defined in the Storage Administration component. The “Kit Details” multiline displays the following.
Serial # |
The serial # of the kit as generated by the system. |
Lot # |
The lot # of the kit as generated by the system. |
Inspection Status |
The inspection status of the kit, such as Pending, Inspected, Not Applicable or Hold. If the kit part does not require inspection as defined in the “Set Inventory Process Parameter” activity of the Logistics Common Master for the Inspection Category Build/Re-build transaction, this field displays “Not Applicable". However, if the Enforce Inspection attribute for the Build/Re-build transaction is set, this field displays “Required”. |
Line Status |
The status of the kit serial #, such as Fresh, Allocated, Confirmed, Canceled or Short closed. |
Line # |
The line # for the kit serial # generated by the system. This number is incremented with every serial #you add of the kit part in this activity. |
Click the “Get Storage Details” pushbutton to retrieve bin and zone details for the kit part as defined in the Part Administration component.
