Recording kit constituent details
This tab page enables you to enter details of constituent parts of the kit serial #. The system uses these details to source, allocate, and issue constituent parts towards the creation of the kit part # serial #. However, if you have selected the “Allocate Parts” check box, you may visit this tab page only after you have clicked the “Create Kit” pushbutton. You can then see details of constituent parts allocated to the kit part automatically by the system.
Select the “Kit Constituent Details” tab in the "Build Kit" p age.
Enter the following in the “Kit Serial Information” group box.
Mfr. Serial # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the serial # of the kit for which you are to record constituent details. The drop-down list box displays all the numbers available in the Mfr. Serial # column in the “Kit Details” multiline of the “Kit Details” tab. |
The “Kit Serial Information” group box displays the following.
Line Status |
The status of the kit serial #, such as Fresh, Allocated, Confirmed, Completed, Canceled or Short Closed. |
Enter the following.
Line Status |
The status of the kit serial #, such as Fresh, Allocated, Confirmed, Completed, Canceled or Short Closed. |
Display Option |
The display option will be one of the following § “All Constituents”, if the kit operation is “Build” or § “Incomplete Constituents”, if the kit operation is “Rebuild”. |
The “Kit Constituent Details” multiline displays the following.
BOM Part # |
The constituent part of the kit as defined in the “Maintain Kit Composition” activity. |
Enter the following picking details for constituents in the “Kit Constituent Details” multiline.
Constituent Part # |
The constituent part in the kit. The constituent part # must be the same as the BOM part #, if “Alternate Allowed?” set to “No” as defined in the Maintain Kit Composition” activity in the Part Administration” component. However, if “Alternate Allowed?” is “Yes”, the constituent part # must a valid alternate of the BOM part#. |
Quantity |
The numbers of constituent part in the kit. The quantity you specify must be greater than 0. You can enter a quantity in fraction, only if the stock UOM for the part allows a fractional value as defined in the Unit of Measurement component. The quantity must be less than or equal to the quantity of the BOM part # specified in the “Maintain Kit Composition” activity in the Part Administration component. However, the quantity must be equal to the BOM part # quantity, if building of incomplete kit is not allowed. |
The multiline displays the following.
Stock UOM |
The unit of measurement of the constituent part. |
In the “Kit Constituent Details” multiline, select the following for parts that must be issued towards the kit serial #.
Stock Status |
The stock status of the constituent part of the kit. Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the kit, Mandatory. The drop-down list box displays all stock statuses associated with the part ownership. Note: The stock status you select must be mapped to the warehouse of the kit. |
Condition |
Use the drop-down list box to select the operational condition of the constituent part. The drop-down list box displays New, Overhauled, Serviceable and Unserviceable. |
Serial # |
The serial # of the constituent part. |
Mfr. Serial # |
The manufacturer serial #of the constituent part. |
Note: The serial # and manufacturer serial # combination must be valid for the constituent part as defined in the Stock Maintenance component.
Lot # |
The lot # of the constituent part that must be issued for creation of the kit. |
Mfr. Lot # |
The manufacturer lot # of the constituent part, which must be issued for creation of the kit. |
Note: The lot # and manufacturer lot # combination must be valid for the constituent part as defined in the Stock Maintenance component.
Zone # |
The zone of the warehouse from where the constituent parts are issued for creation of the kit serial #. The zone you specify here overrides the zone provided in the “Default Details” group box. |
Bin # |
The bin in the zone of the warehouse from where the constituent parts are issued for creation of the kit serial #. The bin you specify here overrides the bin you have provided in the “Default Details” group box. |
Note: The zone # and bin # you specify must be valid as defined in the Storage Administration component.
Remarks |
Any comments or additional information the constituent part. |
Mfr. Constituent Part # |
The manufacturer part # of the constituent part. The part # you specify must be valid as defined in the Part Administration component. |
Mfr. # |
The number identifying the manufacturer of the part. The manufacturer # is mandatory, if more than one part exists in the inventory for manufacturer part #. |
Note: 1) The constituent part # and manufacturer constituent part # combination must be valid as defined in the Part Administration component. Further, the manufacturer part # and manufacturer constituent part # combination must be valid for the constituent part # as defined in the Part Administration component as well.
2) The Mfr. Constituent Part # and the Mfr. # are not displayed, if the Kit Build # - Kit Operation - Const. Part Mfr. Details (Show/Hide) option is set to “Hide” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameter” activity in the Logistics Common Master component
Expiry Date |
The expiry date of the constituent part. |
BOM Part Description |
The BOM part description as available in the “Maintain Kit Composition” activity. |
Constituent Part Description |
The part description defined in the “Create Part Main Information” activity in the Part Administration component. |
Part Control Type |
The part control type of the constituent part, such as Lot Controlled, Serial Controlled or None. |
