Parts Covered

The different parts covered under this Aircraft Warranty Agreement can be specified. The system displays all the following options: “Component", "Component-Rotable", "Component-Repairable", "Component-Controllable", "Expendable", "Expendable-Repairable", "Raw Material", "Tool", "Consumable", "Kit" and "Miscellaneous".

Applicable ? (Y/N)

Use the drop-down list box and select “Yes” if the warranty is applicable for the part. Else select the option “No”. By default the system displays “No”.

Lower Value Limit

The lower value limit for the part considered for the warranty. (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value is entered here.

Upper Value Limit

The upper value limit for the part considered for the warranty. (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value greater than zero and greater than the Lower Value Limit, is entered here.

Annual Limit

The annual limit for the part type for which the claim can be generated. (Decimal). Ensure that a positive value greater than zero is entered here. This value must be greater than or equal to the Upper Value Limit.

Claim Against

Use the drop-down list box to specify the method in which the failed part is claimed. The system lists the following options:

• Aircraft Supplier – Select this option to specify that the claim is made against the aircraft supplier only.

• Part Supplier - Select this option to specify that the claim is made against the part supplier only.

• Part Supplier with Backstop – Select this option to specify that the claim can be made against the aircraft supplier if the part supplier denies the warranty claim..

The system displays “Aircraft Supplier” by default.
