Edit Component Warranty Claim – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to edit the details of the component warranty claim that is already created. You can select the warranty claim and edit the details. The component warranty claim can be selected in the "Select Component Warranty Claim" page and modified in the "Edit Component Warranty Claim Information" page.

Modify component warranty claim

You can modify the claim details such as the description, type, category, reimbursement type, user status, suggested supplier action and the priority. The warranty reference details, component failure details and expense details can also be modified.

• Use the "Select Component Warranty Claim" page to select the component warranty claim for modification.

• Go to "Edit Component Warranty Claim Information" page to modify the warranty claim details.

Modify defect report details

You can modify the details of the defects reported or observed in the component.

• Use the "Select Component Warranty Claim" page to select the component warranty claim.

• Use the "Update Defect Report" page to modify the defect details for the claim.

Modify actual claim details

The expense incurred on the component while carrying out the maintenance work, can be specified as the claim amount. You can modify the claim amount details that are already entered for the claim.

• Use the "Select Component Warranty Claim" page to select the component warranty claim.

• Use the "Update Actual Claim" page to modify the claim amount details.

Modify parameter details

For a component, the warranty is tracked based on the values of certain parameters. The parameters are already defined in the "Aircraft" business component. You can modify the updated values of the parameters in this activity.

• Use the "Select Component Warranty Claim" page to select the component warranty claim.

• Use the "Update Parameter Values" page to modify the updated parameter value details.
