This page allows you to update the parameter value details of the component on which the claim is raised. Tell me more.

The "Update Parameter Values" page appears.

Note: On launching the page, the system displays the details of the parameters based on which the warranty is tracked on the component. The values of the parameters as on the part failed date are retrieved from the "Aircraft" business component.

The system displays the following field:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the "Claim Details" group box:

Warranty Claim #

The number identifying the component warranty claim for which the parameter details must be entered.

Claim Status

The status of the component warranty claim, which could be "Fresh".

 
  • Fresh - when the component warranty claim is created.

Description

The textual description of the component warranty claim.

Zoom facility available.

Claim Type

The claim type of the warranty.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs.

Part Serial #

The serial number of the component.

Component #

The number identifying the component for which the claim is made.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Zoom facility available.

Part Failed Date & Time

The date and time on which the part failed.

Note: The system retrieves the parameter values based on the values selected in the “Time Display Option” field in the “Aircraft” business component. For example, if the “Time Display Option” is selected as “HHMM” and if the stored value is 2.50, the system automatically converts and displays the value as 2.30.

The system displays the following fields in the "Parameter Details" multiline:

Parameter

The parameter based on which the warranty on the component is tracked.

Parameter Description

The textual description of the parameter.

UOM

The unit of measurement for the parameter.

Warranty Expiry Value

The terminating value of the parameter based on which the warranty expires. This is retrieved from the "Create Component Warranty" activity.

Current Value

The current value of the parameter as retrieved from "Aircraft" business component.

Updated Value

The newly updated value of the parameter. Ensure that this value is greater than the current value and lesser than the warranty expiry value.

The system displays the following fields in the multiline:

Since Overhaul

The value of the parameter since the last overhaul.

Since Repair

The value of the parameter since the last repair.

Since Last Shop Visit

The value of the parameter since the last shop visit.

Since Inspection

The value of the parameter since the last inspection.

Note: The system retrieves the parameter values based on the values selected in the “Time Display Option” field in the “Create Parameters” page of the “Aircraft” business component. Updating parameter value details - An overview

Edit Component Warranty Claim -A summary of the activity

The warranty on a component is tracked based on certain parameter values. These parameters are already defined and get updated in the "Aircraft" business component. You can enter the warranty parameter details for the component in this page.

On launching of the page, the system displays the details of the parameters identified as warranty parameters in the "Create Component Warranty" activity. The values of the parameter since the last inspection, overhaul, shop visit, and repair as updated in the "Aircraft" business component are retrieved. The current value of the parameter is also displayed.

Note: All the parameter values are displayed with respect to the part failed date.

You can enter the updated value for the parameters. The updated value is the value, which you would like to specify for the parameter before sending the claim document to the supplier. You can enter the warranty parameter values based on which the warranty on the component is tracked. The values of the parameter since the last inspection, repair, overhaul and shop visit of the component are retrieved by the system. You can enter the updated value of the parameter.
