Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Stock Conversion Information” group box:
Stock Conversion # |
The unique number assigned to the stock conversion document. This number is generated and displayed by the system, when the “Create Stock Conversion” pushbutton is clicked. The number is displayed with the corresponding prefix and suffix of the numbering type selected in the “Numbering Type” field. The number is incremented from the last number available for the stock conversion transaction in the “Document Numbering Class” business component. |

Use the drop-down list box to set the stock conversion category. The system lists all the quick codes of the type “Stock Conversion” defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity and that are in “Active” status. The system leaves the field blank by default. |

Note: The stock status of a part can be converted from any stock status with Ownership Attribute as “Internal” to stock status “PBH” only if the part is defined as “Under PBH” for a supplier in the “Maintain Supplier PBH Mapping” activity of the “Supplier “ business component.
Note: For the Warehouse – Zone – Bin combination, the storage area should be mapped to the supplier for converting the stock status to “PBH”. For None-Controlled parts, the storage area should be mapped “Exclusively” for the supplier.

From Stock Status |

If no value is selected, the status specified in the “Default Values” group box is taken. Note: You must select a stock status in this field, if you have not set the default From Stock Status. |
From Trading Partner # |
The current owner of the part. By default, this field displays the trading partner defined for the warehouse, zone, bin, part #, stock status and, customer/supplier combination, if the From Stock Status is owned by a customer/supplier. However, if multiple trading partners are defined for this combination, the system does not default this field. In this situation, it becomes mandatory for the user to specify the trading partner. Note: 1) The customer/supplier you specify must be valid and Active as defined in the Customer/Supplier component. 2) However, do not specify any trading partner, if From Stock Status is ‘Internal’. |

Click the “Create Stock Conversion” pushbutton, to save the created Stock Conversion details.
The system sets the status of the Stock Conversion document as ‘“Draft’, if details of converted parts that are Serial-Controlled and Lot-Controlled are not provided in the Edit Serial #/Lot #/Condition Details” page. However, the status is set to ‘Fresh’, if you have provided serial # and lot # of converted parts.
Updates the ownership of the part as “Supplier in the “Aircraft” business component for all parts whose stock status is converted to “PBH”.
Sets the Conversion Type for the stock conversion document as illustrated in the table:

To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Upload Documents” link to save documents associated with the stock conversion transaction to the central repository.
Select the “Edit Serial # / Lot # Details/Condition” link at the bottom of the page to enter the serial and lot number details for the part number.
Note: You can access the “Edit Serial # / Lot # /Condition Details” page, if the parameter “Permitted Function in Stock Conversion” under the category “Stock Conversion” in the Set Warehouse Process Parameters in Storage Administration is ‘2’ or ‘3’. Essentials for part condition change
Select the “Edit References” link at the bottom of the page to modify the reference details.
Refer “Edit Stock Conversion – A summary of the activity” for more details.
Select the “View Associated Doc. Attachments” link to view documents associated with the stock conversion transaction.
Select the “Generate Part Barcode Label” link at the bottom of the page to generate barcode label for parts that you have selected in the “Storage Information” multiline.
Creating stock conversion – An overview
This page allows you to convert ownership/stock status/condition/storage location of parts in stock in a warehouse. For example, a lot maybe automatically “quarantined” on expiry of the prescribed shelf life. The warehouse, zone and bin details can be entered for the status conversion. The stock conversion transaction document can be in the “Draft” status if it has to be updated with some more information. Once the information is complete, the status can be updated to “Fresh”.
Choose a numbering pattern for the Stock Conversion document
You can specify the pattern in which the Stock Conversion document must be numbered.
Select the required numbering type from the “Numbering Type” drop-down list box in the “Stock Conversion Information” group box.
On clicking the “Create Stock Conversion” pushbutton, the system generates the number for the Stock Conversion document, based on the numbering type selected.
Convert stock from one status to another
You can convert the status of stockable material from one predefined status to another.
This page enables you to convert certain quantities of a part from one stock status to another and maintain the record of the conversion status.
Enter the details in the “Stock Conversion Information” group box.
Specify the current status of the stock, and the status to which the stock must be converted, in the “Default Values” group box.
Enter the part numbers of the stock to be converted, in the “Storage Information” multiline.
Convert stock from one ownership to another
Enter new trading partner type and trading partner for the part you wish to convertownership in the “Storage Information” multiline
Enter Part #s for which you wish to ownership in the “Storage Information” multiline.
Change zone and bin details
Enter Zone # and bin # to which you wish to transfer the part after stock conversion in the “Storage Information” multiline.
Enter Part #s for which you wish to ownership in the “Storage Information” multiline.
Modify condition of parts
Select the part # for which you wish to change the condition as part of stock conversion in the Create Stock Conversion” page.
Select the condition of the serial #/lot # of the part that you wish to convert in the Edit Serial # / Lot #/Condition Details page.
