The “Record Part Consumption & Return” page appears.

Display Option

Use the drop-down list box and select one of the following values to retrieve the shop work orders.

  • All Pending Parts – Select this option to retrieve all the shop work orders that have Main Core Part / Removed Part / Issued Part pending for return.

  • Pending Maincore Return – Select this option to retrieve all the shop work orders that have Main Core Part pending for return.

  • Pending Removed Cores - Select this option to retrieve all the shop work orders that have Removed Cores pending for return.

  • Pending Unused Parts - Select this option to retrieve all the shop work orders that have Issued Parts pending for return.

  • All Returned Parts - Select this option to retrieve all the shop work orders that have at least one part returned against it.

  • Pending Direct Consumption – Select this option to retrieve all the shop work orders that have direct consumption parts pending for return.

  • All Parts - Select this option to retrieve all the shop work orders that have Main Core Part / Removed Part / Issued Part pending for return, or at least one part returned against it.

By default, the system displays "All Pending Parts".

Part # / Serial #

The code identifying the part / serial number of the part, for which you wish to retrieve the shop work orders. You can enter the number in full or enter it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves all the shop work orders whose Main Core Part # / Serial # matches the Part # / Serial # entered here. You can leave the field blank to retrieve the shop work orders irrespective of the part number / serial number.

Note: If a value is entered in the 'Part # / Serial' field, and if the parameter “Enable Manufacturer Part # control in transaction” under the Category ‘Manufacturer Part #’ is set as “Yes” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component, the system retrieves all the shop work orders whose Main Core Mfr. Part # matches the entered Mfr. Part #.

SWO #

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the shop work order you wish to retrieve. The system lists all the “Active” entities defined for the Entity Type “Shop Work Order”, in the “Define Process Entities” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. Enter the corresponding shop work order number in the editable box provided alongside. You can enter the number in full or enter it partially using “*” character.

The system leaves this field blank, by default.

Req. Part # / Description

The code identifying the request part / description of the issued part. You can enter the number / description in full or enter it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves all the shop work orders which contain material request in which the entered Part #, or the Part # with description same as entered description, is entered. You can enter the number / description in full or enter it partially using “*” character.

You can leave the field blank to retrieve the shop work orders irrespective of the part number / description.

Task # / Description

The code identifying the task / description of the task against which the shop work orders need to be retrieved. You can enter the number / description in full or enter it partially using “*” character. The system retrieves all the shop work orders which have parts either pending for return or returned against the Task # same as entered Task #, or against the Task # with description same as entered task description. You can enter the number / description in full or enter it partially using “*” character.

You can leave the field blank to retrieve the shop work orders irrespective of the task number / description.

Customer # / Cust. Order #

Enter the Customer # to retrieve the shop work orders having Customer Order reference, in which the Customer # of the Customer Order # is same as the entered Customer #. In the editable box provided alongside, enter the Customer Order number to retrieve the shop work orders having reference of Customer Order # same as the entered Customer Order #.

You can enter the number / description in full or enter it partially using “*” character. You can leave the field blank to retrieve the shop work orders irrespective of the Customer # / Customer Order #.

Search On

Use the drop-down list box and select the following values, based on which you wish to retrieve the shop work orders.

  • Core Comp. # - Select this option and enter the corresponding component # in the editable box provided alongside, to retrieve the shop work orders whose Main Core Component # is same as the entered Component #.

  • Part Type - Select this option and enter the part type in the editable box provided alongside, to retrieve the shop work orders whose Main Core Part’s part type matches the part type entered.

  • Event ID – Select this option to retrieve the shop work orders whose Event ID is same as the Event ID entered in the editable box provided alongside.

  • Warehouse # - Select this option to retrieve the shop work orders in which return has been created to Warehouse which is same as the entered Warehouse #.

You can enter value in full or enter it partially using “*” character.

By default, the system displays “Core Comp. #”.

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to search for shop work orders based on their Primary Work Centers. Mandatory. The system lists all the work centers that satisfy the following conditions:

  • Work Centers that are defined in ‘Active’ status in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component.

  • Only the work centers for which the login user has rights are listed here.

  • All the work centers for which ‘Execution Capability’ is set as “Shop” or “All” in the “Identify Exe. Unit Work Centers” activity of the “Work Center” business component.

  • Work center for which ‘Work Center Class” is set as “Execution”.

 By default the system leaves this field blank.

Display Option

Select one of the following radio buttons to retrieve the shop work orders:

  • Top Assly. Work Orders – Select this radio button to retrieve only those shop work orders that do not have a parent work order.

  • All Work Orders – Select this radio button to retrieve all the shop work orders that match the search criteria.

By default, the radio button “All Work Orders” appears selected.

Note: The login user must have access rights on the Primary Work Center # of the Shop Work Order #, to retrieve the shop work orders. The ‘Work Center - Access Privileges’ mapping is defined in the “Work Center” business component.

Note: On invoking ‘Search’, the system automatically displays the “Consolidated Part Return Details” tab page, even if the user is currently in any other tab page.
