Consolidated part return details
This tab provides a summary of all the pending parts, returned parts and the issued parts within each shop work order, in a tree structure. The tree displays the details based on the display option selected in the search criteria. You can retrieve the details of either the root work orders or all the work orders based on the selection of the radio button in the search criteria.
Select the “Consolidated Part Return Details” tab in the “Record Part Consumption & Return” page.
The system displays a tree structure with the details of the parts returned or pending for return are displayed under different folders, based on the ‘Display Option’ selected in the search criteria.
If the ‘Display Option’ is set as “All Parts”, a tree structure is displayed with “All Parts” as the first-level node. The system displays the following folders below the first-level node, if values are available:
a. Pending Return:
Pending Main Core Return: The system displays all the shop work orders that have main core pending for return.
Pending Core Return: The system displays all the shop work orders that have removed core pending for return.
Pending Excess Return: The system displays all the shop work orders that have issued parts pending for return.
Returned Parts:
Returned Main Core: All the shop work orders that have main core returned, are displayed under this folder.
Returned Core: All the shop work orders that have removed core returned, are displayed under this folder.
Returned Excess: All the shop work orders that have issued parts returned, are displayed under this folder.
The tree structure is as shown below:

On clicking the ‘+’ symbol in each folder, the system displays the corresponding values in the rows of the multiline, for each SWO # - Task # combination. On clicking any node under any of the folders marked ‘+’, the system launches the respective tab page, with the details of the Shop Work Order # whose node was clicked in the “Consolidated Part Return Details” tab.
For each ‘Display Option’ selected in the search criteria, the system displays the relevant tree structure with the applicable folders.
The following details are displayed in the “Consolidated Part Return Details” multiline:
SWO # |
The code identifying the shop work order for which the consolidated part details are displayed. |
Core Excess Return Status |
A tree structure is displayed with the details of the parts returned or pending for return are displayed under different folders, based on the ‘Display Option’ selected in the search criteria. It shows the Task # and number of distinct Parts (not the quantity of parts) that are pending of return. Task # and number of Parts are concatenated and displayed. |
Event # |
The event number of the shop work order retrieved. |
Primary Work Center # |
The primary work center of the shop work order. |
Part # |
The code identifying the main core part of the shop work order. |
Mfr. Part # |
The number issued by the manufacturer of the main core part. |
Mfr. # |
The code identifying the manufacturer of the main core part. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the main core part. |
Lot # |
The lot number of the main core part. |
Qty. |
The main core quantity in the shop work order. |
Final Repair Disposition |
The final repair disposition of the main core, indicating the type of the work i.e. repair, replace, exchange, etc. to be performed on the main core, during the final stage (for example, after work order generation). |
Main Core Condition |
The condition of the main core component. |
Final Movement |
The location where the main core must be returned after the entire work is completed. |
BER / NFF? |
Indicates whether the servicing of the component is beyond economic repair (BER) or not / whether any fault is found during inspection of the part. |
Ready For Closure |
Indicates whether the shop work order is ready for closure. The system displays “Yes” or “No”. The value “Yes” is displayed if following conditions are satisfied:
If at least one of the above mentioned conditions is not satisfied, the system displays “No”. |
Customer Order # |
The customer order number of the shop work order. |
Customer # |
The unique code identifying the customer for whom the customer order is created. |
CoM Status |
The status of Certificate of Maintenance (CoM) issued to the shop work order. |
Child WO Count |
The number of the child work orders of the shop work order. |
Parent Work Order # |
The code identifying the parent work order of the shop work order. |
Top Assly. Work Order # |
The code identifying the root work order of the shop work order. |
To proceed carry out the following:
Select the “Return Main Core” tab to return main cores.
Select the “Return Removed Cores” tab to return removed cores.
Select the “Return Unconsumed Parts” tab to return issued parts.
Select the “Record Direct Part Consumption” tab to record the direct part consumption details.
