You can specify the quality attributes for the part for which the quality attribute value has been selected as other than “None”. Tell me more.

The “Edit Quality Attributes” page appears.

The system displays the following.

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

RFQ #

The number identifying the request for quotation document.

Status

The status of the request for quotation document. You cannot modify the details in this page, if the status is “Quoted” or “Cancelled”. “Open”, “Amended” or “Partially Amended”.

RFQ Line #

Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the RFQ for which the quality attribute must be defined. The system lists all the line numbers that have Quality Attribute value set as either “Standard” or “Customized” in the ascending order.

The system displays the following.

Part #

The number identifying the part.

Part Description

The textual description pertaining to the part.

Condition

The condition of the part, which could be new, new surplus, overhaul, and serviceable.

Ship To

The organization unit to which the part must be supplied.

RFQ Quantity

The total quantity of the part requested.

UOM

The unit of measurement in which the part is requested

The system displays the following in the “Quality Attribute Details” multiline:

Attribute Code

The code identifying the attribute, which is defined in “Attribute Definition” business component and associated with the part number in “Associate Attributes” activity of “Part Administration” business component.

Attribute Type

The attribute type, which could be either “Qualitative” or “Quantitative”.

Attribute Description

The textual description of the attribute.

UOM

The unit of measurement in which the Quality Attribute is defined.

Std. Min Value

The minimum acceptable value for the attribute code for the given part number. The standard minimum value is defined in case the attribute is of type "Quantitative".

Std. Max Value

The maximum acceptable value for the attribute code for the given part number. The standard maximum value is defined in case the attribute is of type "Quantitative".

Standard Value

The standard quantitative value that can be assigned to the attribute of the part (Integer). Mandatory for Quality Attribute of type  “Quantitative”. Ensure that the value entered here is greater than the minimum value and lesser than or equal to the maximum value. You can enter fractional values in this field if the standard UOM allows fractions.

Minimum Value

The minimum quantitative value that can be assigned to the attribute of the part (Integer). Mandatory for Quality Attribute of type  “Quantitative”. Ensure that the value entered is greater than or equal to the minimum value defaulted from “Part Administration” business component. You can enter fractional values in this field if the standard UOM allows fractions.

Maximum Value

The maximum quantitative value that can be assigned to the attribute of the part (Integer). Mandatory for Quality Attribute of type  “Quantitative”. Ensure that the value entered here is greater than the minimum value and not greater than the maximum value defaulted from “Part Administration” business component. You can enter fractional values in this field if the standard UOM allows fractions.

Std Qualitative Value

The standard qualitative value that can be assigned to the attribute of the part (Alphanumeric, 80).

Note: It is applicable only for Quality Attribute of type “Quantitative”.

Trackable

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the attribute is trackable at the time of goods receipt or not. The system lists the options, “Yes” and “No”.

Remarks

Any comments pertaining to the quality attributes (Alphanumeric, 255).

The system stores the login ID of the user and updates the modified date with the current server date.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box.

Created By

The name of the user who created the RFQ.

Created Date

The date on which the RFQ was created.

Last Modified By

The name of the person who last modified the RFQ.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the RFQ was last modified.

Entering the quality attributes for RFQ – An overview

Create RFQ - A summary of the activity

You can specify the quality attributes for the part for which the quality attribute value has been selected as other than “None”. You can select the line number of the RFQ for which you need to enter the quality attribute details. On selecting the RFQ line number, the system retrieves part details such as part description, condition of the part, RFQ Quantity and the UOM. You can change the standard value, minimum and maximum value of the quality attribute for the part for quantitative attribute only if the quality attribute value has been selected as “Customized” in the main page. Also the values changed should lie between the range specified in the “Part Administration” business component for that part number. In case of qualitative attributes the Std. Qualitative value cannot be changed even if the quality attribute value has been selected as “Customized”. In case the quality attribute value has been selected as “Standard” the values displayed cannot be changed. Also user can select which attribute needs to be tracked at the time of goods receipt by selecting “Yes” in the “Trackable” column.
