Maintain Root Cause Codes – A summary of the activity
Through this activity, QMG department can create and modify root causes for non-conformities (NCs).
At the end of the audit, the auditor puts forth the root causes of the NCs. (Any deviations from the set norms in a process / department are termed as NCs).
A root cause is classified under a root cause category and is identified by a unique number. Details including the category, name and, status of the root cause need to be specified.
Note: You must define root causes prior to the recording of audits, and hence this activity must be used at the beginning of operations.
