 The "Maintain Root Cause Codes" page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

To create root cause codes

Root Cause Category

Use the drop-down list box to specify the root cause category. The system displays all the quick codes for the Quick Code Type “Root Cause Category” defined in the “Maintain Quick Codes” activity.

The identification number of the root cause.

Root Cause Description

The name / description of the root cause.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the root cause. The system displays the following values: Active and Inactive.

Remarks

Any comments or additional information on the root cause.

The system displays the following record information.

Created by

The identification number and name of the employee who created the record.

Created Date

The date when the record was created.

To modify root cause codes

Root Cause Category

Use the drop-down list box to specify the root cause category. The system displays all the quick codes for the Quick Code Type “Root Cause Category” defined in the “Maintain Quick Codes” activity.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the root cause. The system displays the following values: Active and Inactive.

The “Root Cause” multiline displays details for the records that match the search criteria.

The system updates the following fields.

Last Modified by

The identification number and name of the login user.

Last Modified Date

The system date when the record was changed.
