Select the “Maintain Root Cause Codes” link under the “Audit Management” business component.
The "Maintain Root Cause Codes" page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
To create root cause codes
Enter the following in the “Root Cause Details” multiline.
Root Cause Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the root cause category. The system displays all the quick codes for the Quick Code Type “Root Cause Category” defined in the “Maintain Quick Codes” activity. Mandatory |
Root Cause |
The identification number of the root cause. Mandatory |
Root Cause Description |
The name / description of the root cause. Mandatory |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the root cause. The system displays the following values: Active and Inactive. |
Remarks |
Any comments or additional information on the root cause. |
Select the “Maintain Root Cause Info” pushbutton to save the specified details.
The system displays the following record information.
Created by |
The identification number and name of the employee who created the record. |
Created Date |
The date when the record was created. |
To modify root cause codes
Specify the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to find the root cause you want.
Root Cause Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the root cause category. The system displays all the quick codes for the Quick Code Type “Root Cause Category” defined in the “Maintain Quick Codes” activity. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the root cause. The system displays the following values: Active and Inactive. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
The “Root Cause” multiline displays details for the records that match the search criteria.
You can modify the following fields in the multiline: Root Cause Category, Root Cause, Root Cause Description, Status, and Remarks.
Select the “Maintain Root Cause Info” pushbutton to save the specified details.
The system updates the following fields.
Last Modified by |
The identification number and name of the login user. |
Last Modified Date |
The system date when the record was changed. |
