Selecting a service for updating planning and purchase information
This page helps you to select a service for updating planning and purchase information. Tell me more.
Select the “Maintain Service Planning and Purchase Information” link under the “Part Administration” business component.
The “Select Service #” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the service number, for which you wish to update the planning and purchase information. Data entry in the following fields is optional.
Service # |
The unique code identifying the service for which you wish to update the planning and purchase information (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the service numbers that are similar to the value entered here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the service irrespective of the planning status. |
Planning Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the reference status of the service. The system provides the options “Fresh”, “Active” and “Inactive”. |
Service Description |
The description of the service (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the services that have description similar to the value entered here. |
Key Word |
The key word of the service (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the key word in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the services that have key words similar to the value entered here. |
Service Type |
which could be “Regular” ,“Activity” or “Conversion”. The system displays the services of type specified here. Leave the field blank to retrieve the service irrespective of the Service type. |
Service Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the service. The system lists the service categories defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity that are in the “Active” status. Leave the field blank to retrieve the service irrespective of the service category. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system retrieves the following in the “Search Results” multiline, based on the search criteria entered.
Service # |
The unique code identifying the service. |
Service Description |
A textual description of the service. |
Planning Status |
The planning status of the service, which could be “Fresh”, “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Key Word |
The key word used to easily identify the service. |
Service Type |
The type of the service. |
Service Category |
The category to which the service belongs. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the service for updating purchase or planning information.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Maintain Planning Information” link at the bottom of the page to update the planning information of the service.
Select the “Maintain Purchase Information” link at the bottom of the page to update the purchase information of the service.
Selecting a service for updating planning and purchase information – An overview
This page allows you to search and select a service number to update the planning or purchase information. If you know the service number, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the service number, reference status, the description of the service, the key word identifying the service, the type of the service and the category of the service. Based on the search criteria, the system retrieves all the service numbers, which are in the “Fresh”, “Active” or “Inactive” planning status.
