Maintaining External License
Select “Maintain External License” link under the “Part Administration” business component.
The “Maintain External License” page appears.
Enter one of the following values in the “Search By” field:
License # |
The number identifying the external license of the part. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the external license details is to be retrieved. |
Part Desc. |
The description of the part. |
Mfr. Part # |
The manufacturer number of the part for which the external license details is to be retrieved. |
Mfr. # |
The number identifying the manufacturer of the part for which the external license details is to be retrieved. |
Mfr. Country |
The manufacturer country of the part for which the external license details is to be retrieved. |
Strip Part # |
The number identifying the strip part. |
Select the following checkbox:
Alert Licenses |
Select the following check box to retrieve the Parts which are expiring within the defined days for Alert Limitation against the Licenses. The check box is unchecked, by default on page launch. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the parts based on the search criteria specified.
Select the “Advanced Search” link to retrieve the parts based on the search criteria specified in the ‘Advanced Search’ pop-up.
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
External License # |
The number identifying the external license of the part. Mandatory. Smart search enabled. |
External License Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the external license. Mandatory. The system lists the values ‘Active’ and ‘Inactive’ along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Legal Regulation |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the legal Regulation. The system lists all the values defined under the Quick Code Type 'Legal Regulation' in the “Create Quick Code” screen in “Part Administration” business component, along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
License Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the license. Mandatory. The system lists all the values defined under the Quick Code Type 'License Type' in the “Create Quick Codes” screen in “Part Administration” business component, along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Valid From |
The starting date in the range of dates from which the External license is valid. Mandatory. |
Valid To |
The ending date in the range of dates upto which the External license is valid. Mandatory. |
Alert Days |
The number of defined days for Alert Limitation against the Licenses. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the External License details are recorded. Smart Search enabled. |
The system displays the following fields:
Part Description |
The description of the part. |
Strip Part # |
The number identifying the strip part. |
ITAR Restriction |
Indicates whether the part is ITAR restricted or not which could be “Yes” or “No”. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
Auth. Qty. |
The quantity of parts that are authorized under External License. Mandatory. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement. Mandatory. Help facility available. |
Bal. Qty. |
The quantity of parts that are pending for authorization for External License. |
Auth. Value |
The value of the External License authorized parts. Mandatory. Note: The system ensures that the Authorized Value is greater than the Balance Value. |
Currency |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the currency in which the value of the part is calculated. |
Bal. Value |
The value of the parts that are pending for authorization for External License. |
Export to Country |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the country of destination of the part. The system lists all the Quick Codes defined in the “Create Quick Codes” screen of the “Common Master” business component, along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Export from County |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the country of origin of the part. The system lists all the Quick Codes defined in the “Create Quick Codes” screen of the “Common Master” business component, along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
The system displays the following field:
Partner Function |
Indicates whether the details of the Partner Function are available or not which could be “Yes” or “No”. On click of the hyperlink “Partner Function” pop-up appears. |

Revision # |
The number identifying the revision of the External License. |
The system displays the following fields:
Comp. Code Type |
The type of the trade compliance code. |
Comp. Ref # |
The number identifying the compliance reference of the part. |
Import Ref. Code-1 |
The import reference code of the part. |
Export Ref. Code-1 |
The export reference code of the part. |
Import Ref. Code-2 |
The import reference code of the part. |
Export Ref. Code-2 |
The export reference code of the part. |
Created By |
The name of the user who created the External License. |
Created Date & Time |
The date and time on which the External License is created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the External License. |
Last Modified Date & Time |
The date and time on which the External License was last modified. |

User Defined – 1 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user defined values. Use the drop-down list box to specify the user defined values.
