Edit Fault Codes – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to modify fault codes that are already defined in the system. You can also modify related information, such the cause code, aircraft models for which the fault code is applicable and work units that you need to execute to rectify the fault. You cannot modify fault codes that are in “Cancelled” status.
The “Select Fault Code” page allows to you to search and select the fault code that you need to modify. The “Edit Fault Code” page allows you to modify the selected fault code. This page also allows you to modify the associated cause codes that are in active status. You can also create or delete cause codes in this page.
The “Edit Model Effectivity” page allows you to modify the model effectivity, such as the aircraft model number and group of aircraft to which the selected fault code is applicable. The “Edit Work Units” page allows you to modify the work units, such as standard procedures and tasks that you need to perform to rectify the fault.

You can modify information that are associated with a fault code such as the cause code, the model effectivity for which the fault code is applicable and the work unit details that need to be performed to rectify the fault.
Go to “Edit Fault Code” page to add new cause code or modify the cause code description for an already existing cause code.
Go to “Edit Model Effectivity” page to modify the model effectivity details for the fault code.
Go to “Edit Work Units” page to modify the work units detail for the fault code.
Modify the fault code category
You can modify the category of the fault code that was created in the “Create Fault Code” activity.
Go to “Edit Fault Code” page.
Select the appropriate option in the “Fault Category” drop-down list box, to modfiy the fault code as “Observed” or “Cabin”.
