Modifying model effectivity for a fault code
In this page, you can identify the aircraft models for which the selected fault code is applicable. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Model Effectivity” link in the “Edit Fault Code” page.
The “Edit Model Effectivity” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Fault Details” group box:

The ATA chapter under which the selected fault code is arranged. |

The fault code selected in the main page. |

The textual description of the selected fault code. |
Base Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model number selected in the main page. |

Enter the following in the “Model Details” multiline:
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model for which the fault code is applicable (Alphanumeric, 20). Ensure that the aircraft model is already defined in the “Create Aircraft Model” activity under “Aircraft” business component and is in “Active” status. Help facility available. |
From Tab # |
The starting tab number in the range of tab numbers for which the selected fault code is applicable (Integer). Ensure the tab number is already defined in the “Create Aircraft Group” under the “Aircraft” business component. |
To Tab # |
The ending tab number in the range of tab numbers for which the selected fault code is applicable (Integer). Ensure the tab number is already defined in the “Create Aircraft Group” activity under the “Aircraft” business component. |
Note: You can select the same aircraft model more than once in the multiline. In other words, you can specify more than one tab range for the same aircraft model number. However, the range of values specified in the “From Tab #” and “To Tab #” fields cannot be duplicated.
The system displays the following:
Model Description |
The textual description of the aircraft model. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the aircraft model for deletion.
Click the “Delete” icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the selected aircraft model details.
Click the “Edit Model Effectivity” pushbutton at the bottom of the page, to update the model details for the selected fault code.
Modifying model effectivity for a fault code – An overview
In this page, you can identify the aircraft models for which the selected fault code is applicable. You can also enter a range of aircraft numbers, belonging to the specified model, for which the selected fault code is applicable. The system updates the model effectivity details and associates them with the selected fault code. This page also allows you to dissociate aircraft that is already associated with the selected fault code.
