Selecting engineering service request – An overview
This page allows you to select an ESR for processing into an EAN. You can carry out a search based on the ESR number, the organization unit that has requested it, the priority assigned to the ESR and the ATA chapter number associated to it. You can also search based on the model number of the aircraft for which the ESR has been raised, the variable tab number of the aircraft, the part number and the serial number of the component and the applicability of the ESR. The system retrieves all the engineering service requests, which are in the “Confirmed” and the “Response Declined” status.
This page also allows you to select an ESR for pre-closure, after entering appropriate comments for it. The ESR can be pre-closed when the engineering cell is unable to clarify the request, or when a “Technical Circular”, containing the solution to the problem raised in the ESR, has already been published by the engineering department. On pre-closure, the status of the ESR is updated to an interim “Pre-Closed” status.
