You can select the component work order for which you need to issue the certificate of maintenance. Tell me more.

The “Select Component Work Order” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Component Work Order #

The number of the component work order for which you need to issue CoM (Alphanumeric, 18).

Note: However, if the tasks in the component work order are not yet signed off or completed, you can issue the certificate of maintenance under the following circumstances:

  1. If the component work order is raised against a component that is attached to a position code with attachment status “Error”.

  2. If the component work order is raised against a component that has child components attached to a position code with attachment status “Error”.

  3. If no components are attached to the mandatory position codes of the aircraft, but the attachment status of the position codes is “Unknown”, “New” or “Error”.

To search for the component work order

Comp. Work Order #

The number of the component work order for which you need to issue CoM (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the component work orders that are similar to the values entered here. If you leave this field blank, the system displays all the tasks irrespective of the component work order number.

Maintenance Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of component maintenance, which could be “Overhaul”, “Repair”, “Inspection” or “Others”. Leave this field blank to retrieve component work orders irrespective of the component work order type. The system leaves the field blank by default

CWO Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the component work order category. The system displays the quick codes that are defined as “CWO category” and in “Active” status in the “Component Work Order” business component. Leave this field blank to search irrespective of the CWO category. The system sets the field blank by default.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user-defined status of the component work order. The system lists the quick codes that are defined as “User Status” and in ‘active’ status in the “Component Work Order” business component. Leave this field blank to search irrespective of the user status. The system sets the field blank by default.

Part #

The part number of the component (Alphanumeric, 40). Leave this field blank to search irrespective of the part number.

Component #

The number that identifies the component (Alphanumeric, 90). Leave this field blank to search irrespective of the component number.

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to select the number that identifies the work center. The system displays valid work center numbers, which are in ‘active’ status and for which you have been provided access rights, as defined in the “Set Work Center – User Rights“ activity of the “Work Center” business component. Leave this field blank to search irrespective of the work center number. The system sets the field blank by default.

Work Scope #

The number identifying the work scope associated with the work order for which the COoM has to be issued (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the work scope number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Job Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the job type of the component work order. The system displays the following options:

  • “Component” – Select this option if the work order is for a component.

  • "Receipt-Inspection” – Select this option if the work order is created for preliminary inspection of incoming components.

  • “Facility” – Select this option if the work order is created for maintenance of equipments or tools that are used in maintenance of components.

  • “Piece Part” – Select this option if the work order is created for non-components.

  • “Make” – Select this option if the work order is created for components that are being manufactured at the work center.

  • “Project” – Select this option if the work order is for projects.

  • “Miscellaneous” – Select this option if the work order is for any other general work.

The system retrieves details of component work orders that belong to the selected job type.

Make/Piece Part #

The unique number assigned to the assembled part or piece part associated to the work order (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the make/piece part number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work orders created for the make/piece part numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Actual End Date: from

The starting date in the range of actual end dates, to display the details of the component work orders that have actual end dates on or after the entered date (Alphanumeric, 15).

Actual End Date: to

The final date in the range of actual end dates to display the details of the component work orders that have actual end dates on or before the entered date (Alphanumeric, 15).

Customer #

The code identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18). Enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component work orders that have customer number similar to the number entered here.

Customer Name

The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). Enter the name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the component work orders that have customer name similar to the name entered here.

Note: The system displays component work orders, which are in “Completed” status and for which CoM required is set as “Yes”.

Note: The system retrieves the details of all the CWOs with job type “Component”, whose owning agency number is same as the customer number and owning agency name is same as the customer name entered in the search criteria.

Note: The system retrieves the CWOs with the changed part and serial numbers if a part serial change was performed against those CWOs.

The system displays the following fields in the "Search Results" multiline:

Comp. Work Order #

The component work order retrieved by the system.

CWO Description

The textual description of the component work order.

Actual End Date

The actual end date of the component work order.

Part #

The part number of the component.

Serial #

The serial number of the component.

Component #

The number that identifies the component.

Job Type

The job type of the component work order for which you need to issue CoM.

The system displays the following details in the multiline, if the job type of the selected component work order is “Make” or “Piece Part”.

Make/Piece Part #

The number assigned to the fabricated/piece part associated to the component work order  for which CoM has to be issued.

Make/Piece Part Desc.

The textual description of the fabricated/piece part.

CoM Status

The status of the certificate of maintenance for the component work order, which could be “Fresh”, “Authorized” or “Canceled”.

User Status

The user-defined status of the component work order.

CWO Category

The category to which the component work order belongs.

Work Scope #

The number identifying the work scope of the component work order.

Customer #

The code identifying the customer.

Customer Name

The name of the customer.

Note: You can issue the certificate of maintenance for only those component work orders, in which all the tasks, for which sign-off is required, have been processed and the status is “Completed”.

However, if the tasks in the component work order are not yet signed off or completed, you can issue the certificate of maintenance under the following circumstances:

  1. If the component work order is raised against a component that is attached to a position code with attachment status “Error”.

  2. If the component work order is raised against a component that has child components attached to a position code with attachment status “Error”.

  3. If no components are attached to the mandatory position codes of the aircraft, but the attachment status of the position codes is “Unknown”, “New” or “Error”.

Selecting the component work order to issue CoM- An overview

Issue Certificate of Maintenance - A summary of the activity

You can select the component work order for which you need to issue the Certificate of Maintenance. If you know the component work order number, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on filter criteria, such as component work order number, CWO type, CWO category, work center number, CWO Status, User Status and a range of actual end dates.
