Processing work scope for creating component work order
This page allows you to select a work scope for creating the scheduled component work order. Tell me more.
Select the “Manage Work Scope” under the “Component Work Order” business component.
The “Manage Work Scope” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a work scope. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Work Scope # |
The number identifying the work scope for which the component work order must be created (Alphanumeric, 18) You can enter the work scope number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Primary Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the number of the primary work center responsible for work scope execution. The system lists all the active work centers associated with the login organizational unit, for which the login user has access rights. The system retrieves all the work scopes that require execution in the primary work center entered here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work scopes, irrespective of the primary work center. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40) You can enter the part number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers with the part number entered here. |
Serial # |
The serial number for which the work scope is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the serial number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers with the serial number entered here. |
Component # |
The component number for which the work scope is created (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the component number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers with the component number entered here. |
Work Scope Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user-defined category to which the work scope belongs. The system lists all the 'active' work scope categories created in the "Create Quick Codes" activity. The system retrieves all the work scope numbers of the category specified here. |
Required Date: From |
The starting date in the range of dates during which the work scope is to be executed (Date Format). The system lists the work scopes that were created on or after the date entered here. |
Required Date: To |
The ending date in the range of dates during which the work scope is to be executed (Date Format). The system lists the work scopes that were created on or before the date entered here. |
Planner Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the planner group with which the component is associated. The system lists all the planner groups defined in the "Create Planner Group" activity of the "Component Maintenance Planning" business component. |
Maintenance Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of maintenance to be carried out on the component. The system lists all the maintenance types identified in the “Common Masters” business component. Apart from this, the system displays an option “Retire”. The system sets this field to "Repair" by default. |
Note: Leave the fields blank to retrieve the work scopes in “Fresh” or “Released” status.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
Note: The system retrieves details of those work scopes that are in “Released” and “Partially released” status. Work units against each work scope in the “Pending processing” status and with job status as “Allocated” are retrieved.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

The primary work center in which the work scope will be executed |

The component for which the work scope is created. |

The planner group to which the component is associated |

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the work scope for creating the component work order.
Click the hyperlinked work scope number in the multiline to create a component work order.
Click the hyperlinked component number in the multiline to view component details.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Create Component Work Order” link at the bottom of the page to create the component work order against the selected work scope.
Select the “Create Repair Order” link at the bottom of the page to create a repair order against the selected work scope.
Select the “Edit Work Scope” link at the bottom of the page to edit work scope details.
Select the “Edit Component Work Order” link at the bottom of the page to modify the component work order details.
Select the “Plan Component Work Order” link at the bottom of the page to plan the component work order.
Select the “Schedule/Reschedule CWO” link at the bottom of the page to schedule the component work order.
Select the “Report Inspection Findings” link at the bottom of the page to report inspection findings on a component.
Select the “Report Component Work Order Actuals” link at the bottom of the page to report actuals for a component work order.
Select the “Issue COM” link at the bottom of the page to issue certificate of maintenance.
Select the “Close Component Work Order” link at the bottom of the page to close the component work order.
Select the “View Component Work Order” link at the bottom of the page to view the component work order details.
Select the “View Execution details” link at the bottom of the page to view the execution details.
Select the “View Repair Order” link at the bottom of the page to view repair order details.
Select the “Print Work Order index” link at the bottom of the page to print index for the selected work order.
Select the “View Task” link at the bottom of the multiline to view task details for the selected work order.
Select the “View Standard Procedure” link at the bottom of the multiline to view standard procedure details.
Select the “View Work Package” link at the bottom of the multiline to view work package details.
Selecting work scope for creating component work order – An overview
This page allows you to select the work scope for creating component work order. You can carry out a search for the work scope based on the work scope number, the part number, the serial number, the component number, the work scope category, the range of dates on which the work scope execution is required, the primary work center, the planner group and the maintenance type. The system retrieves the search results in the multiline.
