Initialize Reliability Alert Value – A summary of the activity
Data from other business components is stored in the form of history in this business component. This data is updated as part of the batch process. Some of the required data resides in other business components that are required to be seamlessly integrated with the core operating system to furnish all the required data for reliability reporting. For integrating this data, a reliability fleet is defined. Any aircraft is a member of only one fleet. A reliability period is defined for this fleet and the ATA system. Periodic alert values are maintained and when the threshold alert values are reached, the information is passed on to the respective business components for the action to be taken. The alert value is initialized using the historical records.
This activity enables you to initialize the reliability alert value for the ATA number and the part number. This alert value may not be a calculated value. It may be derived from the industry standard or the manufacturer’s specifications, which forms the basis for comparing the performances of the component.
