Component Reliability - An overview
Data collection and analysis form the most important part of defining the reliability of the aircraft component. The reliability data is collected from different business component like Flight Log, Aircraft etc. This data is updated periodically by running a batch process as provided in the reliability set up / utility component. For integrating this data, reliability fleet is defined. Any aircraft is a member of only one fleet. Reliability period is defined for this fleet and the ATA system. Subsequently, alert value is initialized using the historical records. Periodic alert values are maintained and when the threshold alert values are reached, information is passed to the respective business components for the action to be taken.
