Edit Position Based Schedule – A summary of the activity
A component can get attached at different positions in the same aircraft. The positions may be at different levels in the configuration. Based on the level, the maintenance program applicable can vary. Hence you can define a program for the position code. You can define only the schedule-based information for the position codes but not the entire maintenance program.
The schedule information can be defined for a position code and part number. So when the particular part number is attached to a t position code, the least of the schedule values will be taken for the forecast. You can select the position code and the part number for which the schedule details should be defined in the “Select Position – Part #” page. You can also specify the schedule details for the work unit associated with the part program.

Change date-based and usage-based schedule
The schedules define the interval for the execution of each work unit. The schedules can be date-based or usage-based. Date-based schedules have their periodicity defined in terms of calendar days. The schedule for the next performance of the maintenance activity will be specified in terms of a calendar date.
Use the “Edit Date Based Schedule Information” page to change the date-based schedule defined in the part program for the work unit for the position.
Usage-based schedules are dependent on the usage of the component and are based on the consumption parameters of the component. The schedule for the next performance of a maintenance activity will be specified in terms of the value for the consumption parameter.
Use the “Edit Usage Based Schedule Information” page to change the usage-based schedule defined in the part program for the work unit for the position.
Indicate the aircraft applicability details
If the schedule change for the position is to be applied only to specific aircrafts, you can specify the aircraft registration number for which the position-based schedule details are applicable.
Use the “Define Aircraft Effectivity Information” page to enter the aircraft effectvity.
