Recording date-based schedule details for position code – An overview
This page allows you to enter the date-based schedules for the position code and the part number selected in the main page. You can select the work unit that is associated with the maintenance program of the part selected in the main page and specify the schedule details. Date-based schedules have their periodicity defined in terms of calendar days. The schedule for the next performance of the maintenance activity will be specified in terms of a calendar date.
Date-based schedules are employed for maintenance activities, which are to be performed irrespective of the asset usage. If the asset has a constant usage pattern then the activities based on usage can be translated to date-based schedules. Routine maintenance based on date schedules has a higher degree of predictability, which inherently increases planning efficiency.
The date-based schedule can be of two types: “Recurring” and “One-Time”. In case of “Recurring”, the next due date is calculated from the date of execution of the previous schedule. In case of “One-Time” you can specify the maximum number of days, weeks, months or years within which the work unit has to be executed.
Alert value or date specifies the value or date after which the corresponding work unit is considered in the component maintenance forecast. You can also specify the positive and negative tolerance, which indicate the limits within which the work units are to be performed.
The system updates the date-based schedule details and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.
Note: If the status of the schedule for the position code is “Authorized”, the system changes the status to “Fresh” on updating the date-based schedule details .
The date-based schedule can be of two types: “Recurring” and “One-Time”. In case of “One-Time”, the work unit will be performed on a particular date. In case of “Actual Interval”, the work unit will be performed in repeated intervals.
Set the “Schedule Type” field as “Recurring” to indicate that the work unit is to be performed in repeated intervals.
Set the “Schedule Type” field as “One-Time” to indicate that the work unit is to be performed on a specified date.
