Authorize Part Program – A summary of the activity

The part program defined in the “Edit Part Program” activity can be authorized in this activity. Only the part programs that are in the “Fresh” status can be authorized in the “Authorize Part Program” page.

When the part program is authorized, the system copies the part program to the individual serial number of the part, as the Component Maintenance Program (CMP). If a "Recurring" orn "One-Time" schedule has been defined for the program, then the system updates the CMP status of the components as "Fresh". If there are no schedules defined, then the system updates the status of the components as "Authorized". Further changes for individual components can be done in the CMP.

You can authorize the part program in the “Authorize Part Program” page. The “Edit Part Program Information” page allows you to modify the maintenance program defined for the part. The system sets the modified part program in the “Fresh” status.

You can modify the date-based and the usage-based schedules for the work unit included in the part program in the “Edit Date Based Schedule Information” and “Edit Usage Based Schedule Information” page respectively.

You can modify the resource details in the “Estimate Resource Requirement– Facilities”, “Estimate Resource Requirement– Skills” and the parts details in the “Estimate Material Requirement” pages.

Authorize part program

You can authorize the part programs that are defined in the “Maintain Part Program” activity. The system sets the part program in the Authorized” status and copies the part program to the individual serial numbers under the part, as the Component Maintenance Program (CMP).

• Go to the “Authorize Part Program” page.

• Select the part program to be authorized.

            Or

• Check the “Select All” box to mark all the part programs for authorization.

• Click the “Authorize Program” pushbutton to authorize the part program.
