This page allow you to add or modify the details of the parts required for executing the work unit. Tell me more.

The “Edit Estimate Material Requirement” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Part Details” group box:

Part #

The number identifying the part for which the part requirement must be defined.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Maintenance Process

The maintenance process of the part which could be “Hard-Time”, “On-Condition” or “Condition Monitoring”.

Program Status

The status of the part program, which could be “Fresh” or “Authorized”.

Revision #

The revision number of the part program.

Work unit #

Use the drop-down list box to select the work unit for which the part requirement must be specified. The system lists all the work units in “Active” status  that have been defined for the part program and prefixes them with “TSK”, “SP” or “WP” based on the type of the work unit.

The system displays the following when you click the “Get Details” pushbutton:

Work Unit Desc

The textual description of the task, standard procedure or work package.

Maintenance Type

The type of the maintenance activity to be carried out which could be “Overhaul”, “Repair”, “Inspection”, "Retire", ”Others” etc.

Work Center #

The number identifying the work center where the work unit has to be performed.

Work Center Description

The textual description of the work center.

Part #

The number identifying the part required for executing the work unit (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The part should have already been defined in the "Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component and must be in the “Active” status.

 

Help facility available.

Note: In the event of modifying the already associated part number, the system displays an error message. Also, to delete an existing part number, check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline and click the "Delete" pushbutton.

The system displays the following field when you click the “Edit Material Estimates” pushbutton:

Part Type

The type of the part involved in the part maintenance program.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the part (Alphanumeric, 10). The unit of measurement must be a valid “Active” UOM of the part defined in the “Unit Of Measurement Administration” business component or you can enter any valid UOM defined for the part in the “Maintain UOM Conversions” of the “Part Administration” business component.

 

Help facility available.

Reqd. Qty

The quantity of part required for executing the work package (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the number entered in this field is positive.

Warehouse #

The number identifying the warehouse where the part is required (Alphanumeric, 10). The warehouse should have already been defined in the "Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component and must be in the “Active” status. Ensure that the part is associated with the warehouse

If you have not selected any warehouse, the system displays the default warehouse mapped to the work center of the CMP through a single component work order.

Part Cost

The cost of the part as defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Maintain Part Program - A summary of the activity

You can add or modify the details of the parts required for executing the work unit in this page. On specifying the part number, the system displays the part type and description, and allows you to modify the unit of measurement, required quantity and the warehouse in which the part must be issued. The part details are updated and the system sets the current server date as the last modified date.
