This page allows you to record the stock transfer receipt details while receiving the stock transferred from a warehouse that could be in the same location or different location

The “Record Stock Transfer Receipt” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Stock Transfer Issue #

The number identifying the stock transfer issue based on which the stock transfer receipt document must be created. Mandatory. Ensure the following:

  • The stock transfer issue document is in “Confirmed” status.

  • The stock transfer issue is created based on the stock transfer order for which the “To Stocking Point” is same as the current login organization unit.

  • There exists no stock transfer receipt in status other than “Canceled”, for the stock transfer issue.

Note: If the option setting 'Allow multiple Receipts for a Stock Transfer Issue' in the Stock Transfer business component is set as 'yes' then the system ensures that the stock transfer issue should have Pending quantity is >0  for at least one line item in the issue document.

Pending quantity for a line item = Issued qty (Confirmed)- Received qty (Confirmed/Fresh) - Lost qty (Confirmed/Fresh).

Note: If the option setting 'Allow multiple Receipts for a Stock Transfer Issue' in the Stock Transfer business component is set as 'No' then the system ensures that there is no Stock Transfer Receipt document and Material loss document in the status other than Cancelled for the entered Stock transfer Issue,

Default Zone

Use the drop-down list box to select the zone in which the received part is to be stored.

If the receipt warehouse is of type “Normal”, the system lists all the “Active” zones defined for the warehouse in the “Storage Administration” business component. Else the system leaves the field blank.

Default Bin

Use the drop-down list box to select the bin in which the received part is to be stored.

If the selected default zone is of type “Normal”, the system lists all the “Active” bins defined for the receipt warehouse number – zone number combination, in the “Storage Administration” business component. Else the system leaves the field blank.

The system displays the following in the “Part Information” multiline:

Line #

The sequential number generated by the system for the parts.

Part #

The number identifying the part for which the stock transfer receipt is being done. The part number must be “Active” as defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Note: If the receipt warehouse is of type “Normal”, and if the placement strategy of the part is other than “Manual”, the system displays the zone bin details based on the placement strategy defined for the part.

WH - Zone #

The number identifying the zone in which the part is to be stored (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the zone is associated with the warehouse in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component and is in the “Active” status.

Data entry in this field is mandatory when the storage type of the warehouse is “Normal”, and the “Default Zone” is not specified.

This field must be left blank when the storage type of the warehouse is “Free”.

Bin #

The number identifying the bin in which the part is to be stored (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the bin is associated with the zone in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component and is in the “Active” status.

Data entry in this field is mandatory when the storage type of the zone is “Normal”, and the “Default Bin” is not specified.

This field must be left blank when the storage type of the warehouse is “Normal”.

Note: If the storage type of the warehouse is “Normal” and the storage type of the zone is “Free”, the system ensures that the zone is not exclusive for any part other than the receipt part and the storage rule for the receipt part is not set as “Only At” for any other zone, as identified in the “Storage Administration” business component.

Note: If the storage type of the warehouse and the zone is “Normal”, the system ensures that the bin is not exclusive for any part other than the receipt part and the storage rule for the receipt part is not set as “Only At” for any other bin, as identified in the “Storage Administration” business component

Note: The system ensures that the warehouse or warehouse-zone combination or the warehouse-zone-bin combination is not frozen, as identified in the “Physical Inventory & Cycle Count Plan” business component.

Note: For none-controlled parts with ownership set to "Customer" or "Supplier", the system ensures the following:

  1. The warehouse is mapped to the trading partner as an exclusive storage category in the “Maintain External Stock Allocation” page of the “Storage Administration” business component. This is applicable, if the type of the warehouse is "Free".

  2. The warehouse-zone combination is mapped to the trading partner as an exclusive storage category in the “Maintain External Stock Allocation” page of the “Storage Administration” business component. This is applicable, if the type of the warehouse is “Normal” and the type of the zone is “Free".

  3. The warehouse-zone-bin combination is mapped to the trading partner as an exclusive storage category in the “Maintain External Stock Allocation” page of the “Storage Administration” business component. This is applicable, if the warehouse and the zone are of type “Normal” and the bin is specified.

Note: For serial number-controlled, lot number-controlled, or both serial number-controlled and lot number-controlled parts with ownership set to "Customer" or "Supplier", the system ensures the following:

  1. The warehouse is mapped to the trading partner as exclusive or shared storage category in the “Maintain External Stock Allocation” page of the “Storage Administration” business component. This is applicable, if the type of the warehouse is "Free".

  2. The warehouse-zone combination is mapped to the trading partner as exclusive or shared storage category in the “Maintain External Stock Allocation” page of the “Storage Administration” business component. This is applicable, if the type of the warehouse is “Normal” and the type of the zone is “Free".

  3. The warehouse-zone-bin combination is mapped to the trading partner as exclusive or shared storage category in the “Maintain External Stock Allocation” page of the “Storage Administration” business component. This is applicable, if the warehouse and the zone are of type “Normal” and the bin is specified.

Qty.

The quantity of parts received in the warehouse (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered,

  • Is greater than zero.

  • Is equal to or lesser that the issue quantity.

  • Must not be in fractions, if the UOM has been set as “Allow fractions” in the “Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component.

Note: If the part received is serial-controlled or both serial/lot-controlled the quantity will be set as “1” (one) on clicking the “Create Stock Transfer Receipt” pushbutton, irrespective of the value entered.

The system displays the following in the “Part Information” multiline:

Stock UOM

The unit of measurement for the part, as defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Pending Quantity

The stock transfer issue quantity of the part which is yet to be received.

Issued Qty

The stock transfer issue quantity of the part.

Lot #

The number identifying the lot to which the part belongs.

Manufacturer Lot #

The number identifying the lot number of the part issued by the manufacturer .

Quarantined?

Check this box to indicate that the part must be quarantined.

Reason for Quarantine

Use the drop-down list box to select the reason for quarantine as defined when the part was quarantined. The system lists all the active “Reason codes” defined in the “Create Reason Code” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. The system displays the blank value, by default.

Quarantine Comments

Enter any remarks pertaining to quarantine recorded by the receiving clerk or inspector.

Quarantine Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the quarantine status of the part. The system lists all the active “Quarantine status” defined in the “Manage Logistics Quick Codes” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. The system displays the blank value, by default.

Resolution Resp.?

Use the drop-down list box to select the person or department who has to act on the quarantine. The system lists all the active “Resolution Responsibility” defined in the “Manage Logistics Quick Codes” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. The system displays the blank value, by default.

The system displays the following in the “Part Information” multiline:

Resolution Comments

Any comments given by the person or department acted on the quarantined part.

Quarantine Area

Use the drop-down list box to select the quarantine area of the part. The system lists all the active “Quarantine Areas” defined in the “Edit Interim Storage Area” page of the “Storage Administration” business component. The system by default, displays the saved Quarantine Area value for the existing received part # for the Transfer Receipt document (if saved). Else, displays the blank value.

The system displays the following fields in the “Part Information” multiline:

Serial #

The number identifying the serial of the part.

Stock Status

The stock status of the part.

Part Condition

The condition of the part.

Part Type

The type of the part.

Part Control Type

The part control type.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Storage Line #

The number generated for the storage location of the part.

Serial/Lot Seq #

The sequential number generated by the system, part the serial / lot number.

Remarks

The additional remarks or comments pertaining to the stock transfer receipt (Alphanumeric, 255).

File Name

The code identifying the employee who received the stock (Alphanumeric, 30).

Note: Atleast one record must be entered in the multiline.

To create the stock transfer receipt document

Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.

Note: The system ensures that the type and the stock status of the part received, is allowed in the receipt warehouse, as identified in the “Storage Administration” business component.

Note: The system ensures that the transaction type “Stock Transfer Receipt” is allowed in the warehouse.

Note: If the option setting 'Allow multiple Receipts for a Stock Transfer Issue' in the Stock Transfer business component is set as 'No' then the system ensures that the quantity entered is always less than the or equal to the issued qty.

Note: If the option setting, 'Allow multiple Receipts for a Stock Transfer Issue' in the Stock Transfer business component is set as 'yes' then the system ensures that the quantity entered is less than or equal to Pending Qty for the line #.

The system updates the status of the stock receipt document as "Fresh".

To confirm the stock transfer receipt document details

Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.

The system ensures the following on clicking the “Confirm Stock Transfer Receipt” pushbutton:

Note: If the warehouse is of the type “Normal” and the zone is of type “Free”, the following validations will be performed at the zone level. If the warehouse and the zone are of type “Normal”, the following validations will be performed at the bin level.

  1. All the parts of the stock receipt is in “Volume” as defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component.

  2. For conversion of the “Volume UOM” in the warehouse to the “Volume UOM“ in the stock receipt, the conversion factor is defined in the “Maintain UOM Conversion” activity of the “Part Administration” business component.

  3. The receipt quantity of the part is lesser than the capacity volume and the current occupied capacity of the warehouse. The capacity volume is computed as follows:

Note: If the warehouse is of the type “Normal” and the zone is of type “Free”, the following validations will be performed at the zone level. If the warehouse and the zone are of type “Normal”, the following validations will be performed at the bin level.

  1. All the parts of the stock receipt is in “Weight” as defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

  2. For conversion of the “Weight UOM” in the warehouse to the “Weight UOM“ in the stock receipt, the conversion factor is defined in the “Maintain UOM Conversion” activity of the “Part Administration” business component.

  3. The receipt quantity of the part is not greater than the warehouse free quantity. The warehouse free quantity is lesser than the capacity weight and the current occupied capacity of the warehouse. The capacity weight is computed as follows. The capacity weight is computed as follows:

The system performs the following on clicking the “Confirm Stock Transfer Receipt” pushbutton:

Note: This setting for stock status is done in the interacting “User Defined Stock Status“ business component.

Note: The system allocates parts against material requests based on the earliest need date, in the order of “AOG” priority, “Normal” priority and “Low ” priority, irrespective of whether the material request is associated with the reference stock transfer order or not. If there is more than one material request with the same priority and if their need dates fall on the same day, the system allocates the parts based on the MR created date/time.

Note: If the preferred condition for the requested part is available, then only those parts with the specified condition will be allocated.

Note: The system automatically prints the corresponding “Material Movement Document” on creation of the issue document for the parts.

To cancel stock transfer receipts

The system updates the status of the receipt as “Cancelled”.

Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created By

The name of the user who created the transfer receipt.

Created Date

The date on which the transfer receipt was created.

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the transfer receipt.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the transfer receipt was last modified.
