Managing External Stock Visibility
This page provides the ability to improve the efficiency of part sourcing for an Operator/MRO through context based smart popup that facilitates review of stock available across the Eco System of Suppliers and Peers and quickly raise an RFQ or PO.
Sourcing has always been a challenge as Buyer/AOG Desk needs to go out of ERP system to check stock availability from different sources through history research, reaching out to suppliers through RFQs or finding availability from each supplier website/portals, evaluating alternate parts, e-commerce based platforms for market place stocks etc. This process takes a lot of time and in the event of work stoppage or AOG any delay in sourcing the part would seriously affect the business in terms of currency and customer reputations, because of delay or cancellation of flight etc. Provision for the Planners and Buyers to review stock availability across different Suppliers along with an ability to quickly raise an RFQ or PO would significantly improve the operational and planning efficiencies and help save millions of dollars for Operators has been now made available.

Select the “External Stock Availability” link at the bottom of the “Plan Material” page.
The “Manage External Stock Availability” page appears.
Click the “Part List & Supplier Offers” tab to view the Part List and the Supplier Offer Details.
Click the “My Cart” tab to view the saved supplier offers for the parts available in the Part List in the External Stock Availability.
Ø Click the “Create PO” pushbutton to create the purchase order against the supplier.
