To modify a request
This section allows the user to give response to the request raised by other users. Also, you will be able to modify the requests already initiated by you.
Enter the following:
Assigned to me |
Check this checkbox to retrieve all the requests assigned to you. |
Logged by me |
Check this checkbox to retrieve all the requests posted by you. |
Initiated By |
The employee identification number of the person who initiated the request. |
Ref. Doc Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the reference document type relating to the request to be initiated. The system lists the following options:
The system leaves the field blank. |
Ref. Doc # |
In the editable box provided alongside, enter a number corresponding to the reference document type selected. The system retrieves all the documents with Ref |
Sort By |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the basis on which you wish to retrieve request details. The system lists the following options:
By default the system leaves this field blank. |
Select the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the request details. The system displays the tree structure which shows the shows the following information:

No of Requests No of responses for the requests Request title Author Name & Date & time |
Last Reply |
The time in which the last reply was given. Name of the personnel who gave the last reply. |
Request Details
The system displays the following in the “Request Details” group box:
Request # |
The number identifying the request initiated. |
Status |
The status of the request initiated, which could be “Awaiting Response”, “Closed”, or “Response Provided”. |
Category |
The category to which the request belongs, such as “Commercials”, “Engineering”, “Finance”, “Supply Chain”, or “Tech. Records”. |
Title |
The title for the request initiated. |
Request Desc. |
A textual description of the initiated request. |
Initiation Details
The system displays the following in the “Request Details” group box:
Initiated By |
The employee identification number of the person who created the request. |
Initiated On |
The date on which the request was initiated. |
Ref Doc. Details
The system displays the following in the “Request Details” group box:
Ref Doc # |
The number identifying the reference document relating to the initiated request. |
File Name |
The name of the file attached for reference. |
Response Details
The system displays the following in the “Request Details” group box:
Response # |
The number identifying the response made by you. |
Ø Enter the following fields:
Response Provide Date |
The date in which the response was provided. |
Response |
A textual description of the response. |
File Name |
The name of the file attached for reference. Help facility available |
Click the “Edit Response” pushbutton to modify a particular response details.
The system performs the following:
Saves the modified information against the Response #.
Displays the “Edit Response” pushbutton on selection of the “Response #” in the tree grid to modify a response.
Note: The “Edit Response” pushbutton is displayed only on modification of a response.
Click the “Provide Response” pushbutton to
The system performs the following:
Updates the status of the response to “Response Provided”.
Saves the information provided against the Response #.
Displays the “Provide Response” pushbutton on selection of the “Request #” in the tree grid to create a new response.
Click the “Close Request” pushbutton to
The system updates the status of the response as “Closed”.
To proceed forward, carryout the following:
Select the “Browse Requests” tab page to view the details of the responses and the requests initiated.
Select the “Initiate Requests” tab page to record a request.
