Using Online Help

This page allows you to select the aircraft to be modified and view its details before modification. If you know the aircraft registration number to be modified, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the aircraft registration number, aircraft model or the status. The details of the selected aircraft, such as its registration number, manufacturer serial number, tab number, tail number, aircraft model to which the aircraft belongs, the configuration id and the status are displayed in the multiline.

The “Select Aircraft” page appears.

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). The search retrieves those aircraft that have registration # similar to the value entered here.

Alternately, you can enter Nose # in the field. The smart search retrieves aircraft with the nose # similar to that specified in the field.

Ensure that the record status of the aircraft is not “Frozen”.

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The search retrieves those aircraft that have registration # similar to the value entered here.

Alternately, you can enter Nose # in the field. You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character, similar to A/C Reg #. The smart search retrieves aircraft with the nose # similar to that specified in the field.

Aircraft Model #

The model to which the aircraft to be modified, belongs (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the aircraft belonging to the models having values that are similar to the value entered here.

Customer #

The number identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft associated to the customer number entered here.

Customer Name

The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft associated to the customer name entered here.

Configuration Class

Use the drop-down list box to specify the configuration class to which the aircraft belongs. The system lists all the active configuration classes as defined in the “Configuration” business component.

Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve aircraft, irrespective of their configuration class. The system leaves this field blank, by default.

Record Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the aircraft record to be modified. The system lists the options “Under Creation”, “Active” and  “Inactive”. The system retrieves all the aircraft that are in the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of aircraft irrespective of their status. The system displays “Active” by default.

Note: The system lists all the aircraft in the multiline, if all the search criteria fields are left blank.

Note: The system does not retrieve the aircraft records that are in “Frozen” status.

The system fills in the following fields in the multiline, based on the filter criteria entered:

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number for which the details are to be modified.

Manufacturer Serial #

The MSN or the manufacturer’s serial number given to the aircraft by the manufacturer at the time of production.

Variable Tab #

The tab number of the aircraft.

Nose #

The nose number of the aircraft is an aircraft identifier, which is primarily used by the marketing department of an airline.

Aircraft Model #

The model to which the aircraft belongs.

Configuration Class

The configuration class to which the aircraft belongs.

Record Status

The status of the aircraft record, which could be “Under Creation”, “Active” or “Inactive”.

Customer #

The number identifying the customer.

Customer Name

The name of the customer.
