Create Aircraft Model – A summary of the activity
The ‘Create Aircraft Model’ activity enables you to define aircraft models. A set of aircraft having identical features are grouped and identified by a model number. Aircraft model numbers are unique identifiers for the set of aircraft.

What you can do in this activity
Identify different types of parameters for an aircraft model
Set consumption parameter as life parameter
Model type is used to represent the various variants within a model. For example, the model type can be ”B737” or "Jets". The combination of model and model type uniquely identifies a model. For example, Model B737 will have 400, 600etc, as different types. The 737-400 and 737-600 are different model. The model type can be used to group the models.
Go to “Create Aircraft Model” page.
Set the “Model Type” drop-down list box to select the appropriate type for the model.
Identify different types of parameters for an aircraft model
Parameters such as technical specification, attribute, range and consumption parameters can be specified for an aircraft model.
Use the “Edit Technical & Attribute Parameters” page to specify the technical and attribute parameters for the aircraft model.
Use the “Edit Consumption & Range Parameters“ to specify the consumption and range parameters for the selected aircraft model.
Set consumption parameter as life parameter
You can set the consumption parameter as a life parameter, which indicates the life of the equipment. If the consumption parameter is set as the life parameter, you must define the ultimate life of the aircraft model.
Go to “Edit Consumption & Range Parameters” page.
Set the “Life Parameter” drop-down list box to “Yes”, to set the parameter as the life parameter and enter the ultimate life in the “Ultimate Life Value” field.
