Creating aircraft model – An overview
This page allows you to create the details of an aircraft model. You can enter a unique number for the aircraft model and provide a description for it. You can also define the model type and the manufacturer for the aircraft model. Model type is used to represent the various variants within a model. For example, the model type can be ”B737” or "Jets". The combination of model and model type uniquely identifies a model. For example, Model B737 will have 400, 600etc, as different types. The 737-400 and 737-600 are different model. The model type can be used to group the models.
The system assigns the “Active” status as soon as the aircraft model is created and sets the created date and time to the server date and time. You should ensure that the aircraft model number is unique for the organizational unit.
