The “View Component Configuration Information” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The system displays the following details in the “Component Details” group box:

Component #

The component ID for which the configuration details are displayed.

Part #

Note

Serial #

The serial number of the component.

Manufacturer Part #//Manufacturer #

The manufacturer part # and manufacturer # of the part related to the component.

Note

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

The system displays the configuration details of the component in the “Component Configuration” group box. Details such as "Position Code", "Part #", "Part Description", "Part Serial #" and "Component ID" are displayed in the form of the tree structure with ‘Component #’ as a parent level node.

If Position code is not defined:

If there are no position codes defined for the 'Component #' and only Piece Parts are defined for the Component, the tree displays the ‘Component #’ folder. On expanding the folder, ‘Piece Part’ folder is displayed as shown below:

- Component #

      - Piece Parts

Part # II Part Description II Quantity II Position # II Position Description

If sub-component is attached to the component:

If the component has a position code defined and a sub-component is attached to that position, and if the sub-component does not have position code but only piece parts defined, the piece parts are displayed under the sub-component. The structure is repeated for various levels defined in the configuration. The tree format is shown below:

- Component #

    - Position Code II Part # II Part Description II Serial # II Component #

    - Piece Parts

Part # II Part Description II Quantity II Position # II Position Description

Note: In the tree structures above, the system displays “Mfr. Part # - Mfr. #” combination, if the parameter “Enable Manufacturer Part # control in transaction” under the Category ‘Manufacturer Part #’ is set as “Yes” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. If the parameter is set as “No”, the system displays “Part #”.

In the Tree Structure of Piece Parts:

  1. Reference part #, Reference Part Description and Reference Quantity are retrieved when Existing Part Details are not available

  2. When Existing Part Details and reference Part details are available, then Existing Part #, Existing Part Description and Existing Quantity are retrieved in the Tree Structure of Piece Part Configuration.

  3. When Position Status is 'Inactive' then the respective Part Details in the Piece Part Configuration Tree Structure will be displayed in Italic Font.
