Viewing A Position – A Summary of the Activity

Through this activity the HR Administrator can view the details of a position. Every job is associated with a department; and a position is a combination of a department and a job. To view a position, you(HR Administrator) must first select the required position. You can select the record either by directly entering the position code or by specifying search criteria for the position details. 

Following selection of the modification option, you can view the details of the selected position such as, the position code, title and description, the active status of the record, which indicates whether the details are active and available for use or otherwise. You can also view the codes of the department and job for which the position has been created.

In addition, you can view the number of posts specified for the position and the comments specified.

You can view the competency details specified for the employment units applicable to the selected position. These details consist of the competency code, description, the minimum desired level of the competency, the competency weight, weight in percentage. Also, you can view whether the competency is mandatory for the position or otherwise.

The details of the qualifications mapped to the selected position consist of the qualification code and description, the qualification level and type, and the specialization in the specified qualification. The system also displays whether the qualification is mandatory for the position or otherwise.

The system also displays the unique code and description of the employment units applicable to the selected position.
