Job levels like Vice President, General Manager and Divisional Manager are defined in every organization unit. The definition parameters for the same Job Level may be different in different organization units. For example, the job level Divisional Manager can have different definition parameters like the code and description, in different organization units. Benchmark job levels are created to facilitate identification of similar job levels through out the organization unit group.
Defining Benchmark Job Levels: Benchmark Job Level refers to the hierarchy of the job levels in an organization unit group. All the job levels defined in different organization units are mapped to different benchmark job levels, as this information is very useful for analysis and transfers.
Associating Benchmark job level: This activity facilitates the mapping of organization Unit Job levels to the Benchmark Job level defined in the organization. There will be Benchmark Job Levels defined in the system and all other Job Levels will be mapped to the Benchmark Job Level
